Huh?? Really? Just saw an ad for a couch that has Harman Kardon speakers in them. I’m going to out on a limb and say anyone who jumps in on this cares more about the appearance of their living room than the quality of the sound but I can’t imagine how lousy those speakers sound.

Or maybe I’m wrong?? I have not listened to a set up like this.

    Anyone have experience with this??

Reminds me of when my wife and myself were shopping for furniture back in 1982.

The shop had something they called a Disco Bed on offer.

It was a standard at-the-time double bed, which had a car stereo tape/radio player and speakers installed in the headboard.

I sat on one of these couches at the mall. It's meant primarily for surround sound TV. It's not audiophile standards but it sounded good for what it was.

I just checked my sofa. I could not find any speakers, but there was lots of other things.

Your details are pretty vague to say the least, so I'll speculate. It's a sofa that has built in transducers (which are speakers)for home theatre so the bass in video can be felt. I'm using the evidence that HK markets a lot of home theatre stuff and is good at marketing.

There’s probably a market for this for many non critical listeners. Sure be a gas for kids.

For those interested (and if this is a lovesac couch system), this is what the HK speakers / amps look like... It's a series of speakers.

I wonder. Are they wireless? I guess I will have to look at the website. I don't think they are.

My objection to this is not so much about sound quality (it’s probably OK for its intended purpose), but that Lovesac furniture just doesn’t look like it would be very comfortable or durable.

Of course! The more you try to cram things together the more you have to compromise on quality all around. That’s the nature of the beast.
