This script would actually be an improvement over the pre-quels. :nauga:

My kids are now hooked on Star Wars. :D I was playing Rogue Leader on GameCube, and my 5-year-old was asking a ton of questions about the game...so I figured I'd just get the movies out and go at it. They've seen the original Trilogy, but they can't quite get into Phantom Menace. (Surprise, surprise.) I will definitely get the DVD set--then they can watch these up in their bedroom computer uninterrupted. :)

Why is it so hard? Because I'm using a 27" screen and the enemy ships are microscopic and too dark? Naaaaaaaaah. :D Haven't destroyed the Death Star yet, so I haven't gotten that far. Makes me think even this game has been Lucased.

I have a friend who has *mastered* the Rogue Squadron games... he has beaten them all and unlocked all the secrets. Me? I couldn't get past the 3rd level in Rogue Squadron I, the 4th level in Rogue Squadron II, and the 3rd level in Rogue Squadron III.

I wonder why I keep buying those games :)

That's a biiiiig rumour. It seems unlikely IMO. I suppose he could take the Peter Jackson route and do them all at once

I do not understand the big deal, it has long been known that George planned three prequels and three sequels to the originals.

Yes, but GL has always said he'd never make the "final" three episodes in a movie form.

While the prequels have lotsa flaws, the making of Episodes 7-9 don't hold a tremendous amount of interest to me because, a) he couldn't use the cast from the Original Trilogy, and b) many of the post-Return of the Jedi adventures have been chronicled in various forms like books/comics.

The big deal about Episodes 1-3 was supposed to be that no one had any real ideas about exactly how Anakin/Obi-Wan/The Emperor got "started" and how Darth Vader came into being. This earlier saga was always hinted at it in Episodes 4-6 and had people drooling since day one. The end of Return of the Jedi has a logical conclusion to the first 6 movies and ties up all loose ends.

I think Lucas backed away from his earlier concept for three "trilogies" because he didn't envision himself having the will and/or stamina to do it in his 60s. At the time he was in the middle of the seemingly neverending pre-production phase for his first feature film with a "director" credit since 1977. He's made three massive effects films since then, and he may have a different view of things.

    Regards,
