Yes, by daisychaining two together, so to speak. What I meant is I never knew this type of correction could ever be needed. Apparenltly, even that may not even have been enough! The original must have been, well as you say, dreadful.

I already pre-ordered 2 copies a while ago, SOMETHING I NEVER DO. I have no doubt that Robert and Kevin will have finally done justice to this album. I have 8 different LP pressings of this (let not talk about how many CDs I have of it), including the MOFI and the Red Canadian, and I dont like any of them. Im betting the LP "sell pile" will grow by 8 after hearing this!

Thanks so much for posting this!!

Wow. You must be tough to please. The MFSL vinyl (haven't heard the MFSL cd) is the only copy of this record that I've heard that truly doesn't sound good to me. I've always thought that AJA was a record that fit the definition of an audiophile delight. The original ABC vinyl sounds fantastic to me, and I can't imagine this reissue sounding better, but I'll definitely buy it anyway as Kevin mastered it and I love the record.

    what's the verdict?

    (sorry if I missed a 40 page thread back in 2007, but I wasn't "Vinyl compatible" then :) )

It...and the MCLD UK19145 CD (did I memorize those numbers correctly ?) are my only copies. I sold everything else.

    It's like buttah.

I'm in the minority, but I like the old CD better (can't remember the CD No., but it's the older non-Steve master that gets high praise around here), and not by a small margin. On my system, the bass is tighter on the CD, and overall the CD just sounds better. All IMHO of course.

at this date: Jul 16, 2013, yes TODAY, is the CISCO release the best Aja ever released? or Mofi is close or better or any other pressings is better?

I think the Cisco has more pop, but I just like the warmth of the Mofi.

I just spun this LP for the first time in a while and I have to say the sound is pretty outstanding. Easily beats the early MCA CD (with the midrange hole) I have. This version sounds full and well, perfect!

    Shame Cisco shut down!
