Donald's voice is not always tops. But everything else blows everything else out of the water...

To think that they won a Grammy with an album opening with a funky song about "gaslighting" someone... Those were the days!! I've always loved this album...

I like that this video features Walter still playing really good, and also doing great M-Ceeing.

I dig the strange camera angles et low lighting - a slight bit too low perhaps for modern viewing, but I still think it's cool.

Currently very expensive from $99.00 on Amazon, on up from other vendors.

much cheaper on a number of ebay listings. if you don't have it, get it. it's a great watch/listen and it has a 5.1 DTS option which i enjoy.

Exactly. With a little luck and patience, one should be able to find a used copy at a reasonable price. I luckily did, so I know they’re out there.

    Yes!

And that guy Herrington on the guitar is amazing too. I'm so impressed by his hability to play solos from vintage songs in the style/with the sound of ... and ... etc., without actually copying the solos...

I only have stereo, but I'm thrilled with the mix. I don't know if it's the house mix, the DVD mix or whatever, but the whole ensemble is so nicely balanced. Those horn crescendos... smooth as butter - you hear every note they stack!

It's great I just wish they had kept the concert and the messing around separate

yeah, big fan of this show, so i was particularly upset when i kindly lent the dvd to a friend who then absconded.

fortunately, last summer i stumbled upon a used copy at (the old) grimey's in nashville--problem solved, $4.

Needs two Likes. One for your finding a replacement copy, and one for mentioning Grimey's. :righton:

I think it would look and sound great if this great show was to be released on Blu Ray!Does anyone agree?

Wow - I couldn't get anyone to give me $8-$10 for my like-new copy on the classifieds here several years back. Glad it didn't sell... It's an enjoyable set.

I'd have to view it again, before giving you an honest opinion. Maybe later tonight.

I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. I liked seeing the scenes of the crowd members waiting to get in at the start of the DVD. And the girls singing backup were nice to look at (especially when compared to Fagen's mug). And it is always nice to see Walter. Great music, great band.

Now that I am watching it, gotta say No. Looks like videotape, so actual high definition's not happening, and even if I'm wrong about that, it's unnecessary. The DVD works for me.
