I mean, I'm happy to spend more money for higher quality, and in my experience, there's a happy medium between quality pressings and price point that, say, Rhino seems to hit really well... This price point is 'local indie label pressing concert souvenirs to play on all-in-one record players.' If they can pull that off and still have quality pressings, and include all the swag of posters and custom sleeves etc, I'll be very happy and duly impressed.

But I had missed the Switched-On reissues, so good to hear they've done good work in the past, and if they've already proven themselves pretty reliable, I'll probably go ahead give them a shot, since $30 isn't too dear even if they are poor pressings.

I was happy with the two ‘Switched On’ reissues I picked up, and Duophonic have done a great job with the Cavern of Anti-Matter albums at an even lower price point - around £20.

i'll be interested to find out what era they play live. Or will it be a greatest hits type tour.

superexcited for this, great they also play clubs again, was a bit afraid it would be a festival only tour. Im trying to get tickets for the first gig of the tour Botanique in Brussels, lovely venue.

I can imagine it will be a greatest hits tour, would love to hear a complete Jenny Ondioline though ;)

Stereolab always charged fair prices, right from the start.

I bought the Aluminum Tunes reissue on clear vinyl, and I'm very happy with it (I don't have an original to compare it with, though), so this reissue program is looking good.

Just spotted this post on Stereolab's forum from their manager, Pikey, in reply to a post about the bonus tracks:

"There's still copies of Oscillons out there that cover the Elektra / Duophonic singles.

Switched On Volume 4 is still going to happen at some point but it won't be this year – we still have work to do on the Transient to Margerine Eclipse reissues."

Thanks for the tip! I also found this in the forum from Pikey:

"The clear vinyl edition without the obi can be pre-order / bought via indie shops – all of the clear vinyl editions – obi and non-obi will have a scratch cards."

They have played "Jenny Ondioline" at each of the six previous shows I've attended.

I went to see them along with Mouse on Mars when they did their collaboration album. Holy cow what a great show, love both those bands.

Not re-buying all of their albums, though :)

Are you sure? Black vinyl also sold out on Duophonic website. Poor me got stuck with the CDs for these. At least my wallet’s a bit happier...

Tickets bought for London. Last time we saw them was 2004. Feels like a lifetime ago.

The first time I saw them was one of the best gigs ever - at the Astoria in London with Tortoise supporting. Both bands amazing.

Looks like Sadier, Gane and Ramsey with Simon Johns and Joe Watson judging from a tweet by Johns. So basically, the final line-up of the band.
