That's a blast from the past. I have "Streets of Fire" on LP - haven't heard that one in 6 years or so. All my records are back in Australia; I'd like to hear the CD.

Flame, a band from NYC in the 70's.
Released two albums on RCA, Queen of the Neighbourhood and Flame.

Lead singer was a lady named Marge I think, and the guitar player, Jimmy Crespo, went on to play with Aerosmith

America by Yes. Although there obviously wasn't room for it on Close To The Edge, so I'm not quite sure what else they could have done with it...other than putting it on that Age Of Atlantic comp album.

'IT TAKES A TURNED-ON WORLD' The Latin Dimension....an outrageous concoction of hard latin conga section, strings, soulful back-up girls called 'the primettes'(not the supremes) doing beatles covers and a fantastic 'hurt so bad'...a columbia release from1968..anyone know anything about this one?

It was always on Yesterdays. Rhino put it on Ultimate Yes, Fragile, and the In A Word Box.

I've never seen "S.O.S. Band III"(with my fave "High Hopes" on it) on CD, but other
S.O.S. CD's released during the time that Tabu was distributed by CBS are quite expensive since they're out of print. "On The Rise", "Just The Way You Like It", and "Sands Of Time" seem to be the ones in greatest demand by collectors. Right Stuff(R&B reissue division for Capitol/EMI) is the current licensee of their catalog and so far has only reissued the first two albums on CD. Hopefully the rest will be reissued.

I sort of vaguely remember that Bar-Kays album being available on CD very briefly in the 80's but I know it's been unavailable for a long time. Not very many of their Mercury era albums have made it to CD. "Too Hot To Stop" was reissued on Polygram Special Markets label Rebound Records, and I'm sure like a lot of their other titles the quality is probably poor. "Contagious" and "Flying High On Your Love" got the same reissue treatment and are now OOP also. "Propositions" supposedly is available as an import.

The Glenn Frey album I'm pretty sure has never turned up on CD. That was his only album released on Asylum and he left shortly after and signed with MCA.

"In The Pocket" by The Commodores has been released on CD but I think it is out of print now. The handful of Commodores albums that have been issued by Motown on CD are quite poor. Both in packaging and mastering. Though they don't seem to be in a hurry to redo their catalog. Two years ago they finally released their 1977 Live album and did a great job with it. However there doesn't seem to be any other reissues on the horizon. Need to write to Harry Weinger at Universal who oversees all of the Motown reissues.

Those have only been available on expensive Japanese imports and I think even those are out of print. I'd really like to have "Two Places At The Same Time", "A Woman Needs Love", and "The Other Woman" on CD myself.

I would love to see this on CD. Have the vinyl . The Nitzinger track "Texas Jelly Roll" is one my faves on this album. The Long John Baldry is great as well.

Tarney Spencer Band - Run For Your Life - A domestic release for this album would be nice. A fine album from 1979. A gold cd release from Audio Fidelity would be preferred!

A classic reggae album: JEZEBEL - Justin Hinds & the Dominoes

Appeared briefly on CD (Island reissued it) then disappeared, kinda like The Heptones Lee Perry-produced gem, PARTY TIME. The Heptones came back again but the Dominoes haven't.
Well, I've still got the vinyl in mint condition so can always just move it over to CD...

Last time a thread like this came around, I lamented that the great Elvin Bishop album, Rock My Soul , was OOP on CD.

I discovered I was mistaken, however, as it was re-issued by Sundazed (mastered by Bob Irwin) a couple of years back and sounds great -- Elvin fans should check it out!

Well, during the last few years the market has been flooded with bootlegs of the two albums complete with rather dodgy drum-machine demos as bonus tracks. Jeff Lynne used to be keen of a reunion but since George Harrison passed away he has naturally given it up.

Roy Orbisons widow are keen to release the Wilbury CDs and there has been talk of a DVD as well. This should probably involve Jeff Lynne as well, but since he is busy starting his own label it´s hard to tell if the Wilbury re-issues will see the light of day in the near future.
