I just popped in the Bob Ludwig remaster of Exile - I must say this sounds *very* good to me. Rocks Off has a nice warm, fat sound. For all the trashing of "remasters" that goes on in here, there's little doubt in my mind that these Stones discs are an improvement...

    Anyone? Sckott?

Not to mention the CBS/Sony versions of Exile had the lingering echoey intro to "Shine A Light" cut.

Yeah. I have all the original Virgin issues, with the slip-case-over-cover-replica-style. They even threw in the postcards, miniature. Fribbit-me-wot??

Yeah Luke, the Apogee UV22/Bob Ludwig sounds best. Argueably the original Atlantic vinyl LP sounds a close second. OMG, if you still have the Sony one, throw it away.

Wow...Brown Sugar on "Made In The Shade" sounds BAD! No top end *or* bottom end. Not much of anything, really!

Compare it to the Hot Rocks Abkco CD. Brown Sugar sounds thin on Made/Shade, IMO.
