Looking at his SHF profile, he hasn't been around much. His last login was back in April. Hope all is well with him. We does great work and was looking to send him some more eventually.

  2. Hi Joe thanks for your reply. I assume he's simply super busy. I hope that's the case !!

I have regular contact with him, as we have become close friends. He is fine, but does have a backlog of cartridges to do for his customers, including a few of mine. He got behind because he has a new girlfriend, and is quite occupied with her. So, maybe he has somewhat of a one-track mind (which is good for the tedius nature of rebuilding cartridges), but he has assured me that his lack of focus on cartridges now is only temporary. He has a lot of catching up to do with existing orders, so please forget about him for a little while, and don't send him anything new until he is ready.

He really has been doing great work for us, so I (personally) hope we don't stress him with guilt, by pressuring him much. We need the guy to have a nice vacation every once-in-a-while, so he doesn't get burnt-out. These cartridge rebuilders often do, as I have heard some negative reports about Andy Kim, Van den Hul, and SoundSmith recently. If you have any pressing issues or extreme frustration, please PM me, and I will gently remind him that a few of his customers can barely stand the wait to get their cartridges back. In the meantime, please don't bother him for a while... let him rejoice in his new relationship... we all know that the "La-La Land" syndrome doesn't last long. But the "Audio Bug" is permanent.

Interesting. I sent him an email in early May (after having good communication last year) and never heard back. I assumed he wasn't re-tipping any longer. I'll try him again.

Nahhh, :unhunh:. He has been quiet lately :ignore:, but pretty soon he'll want to spend more time in his man cave :hide: again, away from the honey-do's and manly chores. As soon as this lovie-dovie phase  is over, just watch how fast he'll be whipping our cartridges into shape again. In the meantime, please let him have his adventure time :nyah:o_O. He has a full-time job too, so the cartridge work has to fit into his now (but temporarily) busy schedule. And if we REALLY start demanding too much immediate attention from him, his attitude and prices will go up :ed: ; his productivity will stay down . You cannot force an artiste to work beyond his level of creative motivation.

No he is not married. This new relationship just needs to "burn-in" (AKA "bed-in") a little, just like a fine audio component.

    Hi guys!
So sorry for the late reply, a lot of things happened in my life during the last year.
Not so good things, I was depressed for a while.
Right now it seems that everything is fine.
I dropped out of the repair subject for a while, but still have the same enthusiasm to it.
And everything as Warren described is right!
Thanks for the help Warren!
Sometimes I don't even have time to check all of the incoming messages in my mailbox.
Sorry to those to whom I still have not replied on their messages.
I hope that I will be able to check all of your messages and then reply to them.
I'm getting messages and calls from a possible Russian customers almost every third day in every week.
I repaired about 25 cartridges during the period when I was "offline" and still got about 10 cartridges to work with.
And it's really difficult to concentrate on repair during summer season, because I just can't seat everyday at home and doing it.
Now I am gradually returning to "repair" mode and mood.
The only problem is lack of time.
I still work at my office job (Monday - Friday working time), also I have a new relationship with a girlfriend, I live alone right now and have to do all of the household affairs by myself (cooking, cleaning etc.).
A little bit difficult to find time for my hobby with cartridges.
I hope I will be able to return fully to this subject soon!
    Thanks in advance for understanding!

    Best Regards,
    Roman

I simply have not received enough orders to satify the minimum buy required by Namiki. So I still have everyone's names, and will inform if I ever do get enough people behind an order.

    Hi Warren,
I wonder where you have any Namikis left. I am interested in purchasing 2 pieces, because I would like to send a cartridge to send to Roman for retipping. And I have another one waiting...
    Thanks,
    Panos
