Wire. Colin Newman is their main lead singer of course but Graham Lewis sang lead on some memorable songs too.

Two Albert Halls last time around! Almost the same combined capacity as the old Empire Pool.

Though there is a big nostalgia component to the 2020 audience that wasn't an aspect in 1990. They were playing arenas despite the past.

Some hits featuring John Lodge on lead vocals include "Isn't Life Strange" (#29 US, #13 UK), "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)" (#12 US, #36 UK) , "Steppin' in a Slide Zone" (#39 US) and "Sitting at the Wheel" (#27 US).

They were all in the bands together. This is about bands who had success with original and replacement singers.

Chicago would qualify though since they had success with both Jason Scheff and Bill Champlin.

10cc. Their three US hits had two different lead singers. All four members sang lead on a UK hit.

America. In the space of their first four hits, all three members had written and sung one.

Not left out. Since they were always in the band they don't qualify.

As a younger in 1990, I thought Bad Company was just another hair metal band because of the hit power ballad "If You Needed Somebody" featuring singer Brian Howe. Years later I heard all the great Paul Rodgers material and couldn't believe it was supposed to be the same band.

Their album with JD actually was more successful than the last few albums with Hutchence and did give them a US top 40 single for the first time in about 13 years. Was it a massive comeback? no, but it did inject a little more life into a band everyone assumed was finished after Hutchence's death

Was going to say the same. Similarly, Bauhaus/Love and Rockets. Same band, minus the singer.

Those King Midas harmonies are top notch. I remember hearing the mono version of this not that long ago. Wow! So much better than the disaster stereo mix. Beautiful.

Some group from Liverpool did ok. Their name escapes me. I think they were a quartet after they got rid of a bassist who was mostly there for his look.

Bronski Beat, albeit briefly, when Jon Foster replaced Jimmy Somerville they had their equal highest chart placing with Hit That Perfect Beat, that made #3, the same as Smalltown Boy.

I didn’t really know who sang what in post Syd era Floyd until Animals came out. The LP where Roger finds his voice, for better or worse. My first PF album was Wish You Were Here and thought David, Roger and Roy Harper all generally sounded the same. Boy I loved that album when it came out!

I don't think Syd was ever officially labeled as "lead singer"
whoever wrote the song sang it and he wrote most of the songs.
There are Roger and Rick leads during Syd's tenure

    Survivor.

Their biggest hit, "Eye of the Tiger" (1982), featured Dave Bickler as lead vocalist. [He would later become the singer on the Bud Light Real American Heroes/Real Men of Genius radio and TV ads.]

Bickler was replaced by Jimi Jamison, who was the lead singer on the Vital Signs album and its three Top 20 hits. Jamison also sang on "Burning Heart," the group's second-biggest hit (1985).
