Gaz Coombes said on Instagram that he is joining the boys for this 10th anniversary but that he is doing it between albums. Sounds like this is just a few shows.
Gaz is a really really talented bloke - completely under appreciated. Seen him a few times live since Supergrass split - he’s always brillIant and his solo tunes are superb. Saw him most recently in May supporting Noel Gallagher and he played a couple of fantastic new compositions. It was really depressing, given that the show was in a 2kish capacity theatre, just how few people bothered to turn up early enough to see him. I hope these shows are wildly successful and they cream it in - they were a superb band..
I think the catalogue may be with BMG, as it was BMG that released the RSD2019 “Pumping on Your Stereo”.
I am going to see them at Oslo in Hackney on Monday night!! Touts are going to have to pry my tickets from my cold dead hands!
So there's a box set coming with all albums on picture discs, and then a best of release. Looks like there won't be any individual reissues of the originals then, sigh...

yeah. i want normal LPs and those live boots..... but that's a lot of cash for a lot of stuff i don't want
1 Diamond Hoo Ha Man 2 Outside 3 Rebel In You 4 Tales Of Endurance (Parts 4, 5 & 6) 5 St. Petersburg 6 Fin 7 Kiss Of Life 8 Brecon Beacons 9 Seen The Light 10 Grace 11 Moving 12 Mary 13 Beautiful People 14 Pumping On Your Stereo 15 In It For The Money 16 Richard III 17 Late In The Day 18 Sun Hits The Sky 19 Mansize Rooster 20 Lenny 21 Alright 22 Caught By The Fuzz That's quite a decent tracklist for the new best of release. One or two key singles missing (Going Out, Bad Blood), but more comprehensive tracklist than the now dated Supergrass is 10.
Hope they release the individual titles as well, already have Coco and only really want “Money” and “Rouen”. Not a fan of picture discs either .
I agree that the picture discs are disappointing, but £150 is not a bad price for what you get in the box - 13 CDs, 6 LPs, a 7” and some posters.
How much attention did SG get in the states? Because Alright was on the Clueless soundtrack. I hope this reunion goes better then the half assed Stone Roses one.
I'm kinda perplexed by the tracklisting - Going Out was a huge hit, it really deserves a place on here, arguably Bad Blood and Low C can be left off as they were hardly known outside the fanbase despite being singles. I'd have left off Outside, Tales of Endurance, Brecon Beacons, Beautiful People and In it For the Money and instead included: Bad Blood, Low C, Lose It, Going Out and Cheapskate - that would have been definitive then. I would also have put them in release order. Oh well, I can skip this release and just get the boxset.
The NME says the 2LP has 26 tracks and runs thus: Side 1 1. Diamond Hoo Ha Man 2. Bad Blood 3. Outside 4. Rebel In You 5. Tales Of Endurance (Parts 4, 5 & 6) 6. St. Petersburg Side 2 1. Fin 2. Kiss Of Life 3. Brecon Beacons 4. Rush Hour Soul 5. Seen The Light 6. Grace 7. Moving Side 3 1. Mary 2. Beautiful People 3. Pumping On Your Stereo 4. In It For The Money 5. Richard III 6. Late In The Day Side 4 1. Sun Hits The Sky 2. She’s So Loose 3. Mansize Rooster 4. Strange Ones 5. Lenny 6. Alright 7. Caught By The Fuzz I can only assume they've developed a dislike for Going Out which is a shame but, hey, we've all got it already, right? (Edit - I've just twigged it's in reverse chronological order)
This is true but I can't help but wish they'd ditched the pic discs - they'll be about half the cost of the thing.
