Far more titles being issued in classical music. If you only listen to popular music your perception is skewed. And yes, it is a niche market even for classical.

Once Jimmy Page hears Electric Ladyland in 5.1, he's going to start seriously thinking about what a guitar army sounds like in surround.

Zeppelin is next in the wonderous world of surround.

    I just sense it.

I’d be happy if they would just fix the Blu-ray WHAT!

The DVD-A list at QQ is pretty much stagnant. This list, however, lists mainstream (non-classical) stuff released this year in surround:

It's been a banner couple of years for surround.

Things mixed such as Allman Bros, VU, Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, and then tons of vintage mixes too.

I like the old 70s quad things they now call 4.0. We've gotten a ton of it the last five years.

There are more quad reissues to come, too. UK and Japan, maybe elsewhere.

I got the quadraphonic "Bitches Brew" Japanese recently reissued on double SACD set.

When I held it in my hands I felt it was not overpriced. High quality print and packaging. And the album is a landmark for the artist and genre.

I think they know we want quad Santana, like Caravanseri or the S/T III album, or Welcome, etc. those are just around the corner, I can sense it.
