Grant, I think you will probably have to go used. Maybe check the Classifieds here.

Rega RP10 with Ortofon Quintet Black S (4mm spacer) through Tom Evans Audio Microgroove Plus phono amp. The arm counter weight was catching the cover with the spacer added, so small felt pads at each corner to raise it up. This replaced an increasingly expensive to keep updating LP12 - Linn certainly know how to keep coining it in from saps like me! Far more expressive and detailed sound from the Rega setup.

I use Fabecook - send a message to Only Me with a pic and copy & paste to here. I'm sure Zuckerberg won't mind.

WOW! William, How do you like it? Having a Classic Direct ( which now has HW-40 feet - see my Post 1076 ) I consider the HW-40 to be the best value in hi-end TT's out there. How long have you had it? Please consider posting a review in its own thread.

I love it. I've had it since it was released in 2019 and it's been absolutely wonderful.

  12. These are the two that I am now listening to.

The Technics SL-1600 MK2/Shure V15-VMR is being used in a desk top system for needle drops.

The Dual CS 7000/Ortofon Super OM 30 is now in the living room system.

Is that a Tandberg that I see on the second picture? My dad used to have one back in the 70s and early 80s. Once I was driving with a taxi in NYC and the Russian taxi driver was so excited when he heard that I was from Norway that he spent the next 10 minutes talking about his Tandberg Sølvsuper 12 and how amazing it was.

    I noticed that Tandberg too.

  15. Hi Kristian, yes it is a Tandberg TR 2080 from 1978.
It is part of a small Tandberg collection that also includes a TR 2075 MK II and several cassette decks.
Tandberg made some beautiful gear back in the 70's.
Norwegians should be rightly proud of their audio heritage.

While I know the name of course, I am unfamiliar with this side of their gear. Absolutely lovely.

I knew about their tape decks but I've never seen one of these. Very cool. What cart do you run?

They came with Shure cartridges, TXV-SR is the model but some have Tracer 1 models ( I heard that both are basically a V Type III) which are all high compliance carts around 30.
