I found that the ClearAudio cartridge is VERY sensitive to the anti-skate adjustment on the MT-5. Although I realize that the MT-10 uses a different mechanism for anti-skate, I used the HiFi News test record track 8 on side 1 to adjust my anti-skate. If I adjusted it a bit too far in either direction, I'd get "buzzing" on one channel or another. Once the anti-skate was perfectly adjusted, I got no buzzing on either channel. I used a Feikert protractor to adjust for stylus overhang. I read somewhere that some MT-10's don't have a "dimple" at the tonearm pivot point (luckily, my MT-5 has the "dimple"). You unfortunately need to know exactly where the pivot point is when adjusting for stylus overhang. I totally cured my cartridge of sibilance by correct adjustment of overhang and anti-skate.

I've always used Technics turntables, since they seem to be reliable and not too pricey. I would like to upgrade to something different when I can afford it though.

I'm pretty sure there is a 12th table; but, I can't seem to remember what it is or where it is, at the moment.

If my Marantz 6100's left channel wasn't out I'd be using that one too.

I have a Technics SL1210MKII which I bought on a whim in about 2007 or 2008 because they were quite cheap at the time. I got the 1210 because the 1200 were out of stock. Now I wish I had bought three.

Technics SL D-205, my workhorse for test playing records for sale
Dual 1229 (waiting for parts) to be offered for sale
Dual 1218 (waiting for parts) love the low mass arm of the 1218 for high compliance carts, perhaps the best sounding Dual.. but will probably sell it.
B&O Beogram 1800, refurb'd and ready play, hate them, but does sound very nice.
Garrard RC-80, keeping this for playing 78's
RCA SHF-5 hifi console, circa 1957, clean original cond but needs recapping (supply can rebuild) and the turntable serviced
RCA SHF-9 restored suitcase record player with a GE higher compliance lighter tracking ceramic cartridge (no NM records played on this, but sacrificial test play reveals no damage, awesome sounding for a 50's hifi set)
