There’s a digital version of this mastering?

The album is really good at first I didn’t like it (Im talking about EW) I preferred The Slider. But I’ve come to appreciate overtime and now is an album I play regularly. Side 1 is really good the best IMHO. Bang a Gong is a really good track but I think it’s a little overrated it’s still really good nonetheless. My favourites have to be Cosmic Dancer, Jeepster, Monolith, Lean Woman Blues I love side A.

I'm quite happy with my Tony Visconti remaster. The only other version I've heard was an original UK first pressing, but that was several years ago. That said, I agree that the bass on TV remaster lacks punch, plus the drums could have a bit more impact.

Got rid of a somewhat noisy US original sometime back, and have existed on the original cd for several years now. Got my copy of this KG mastering masterpiece and I am just in awe of it's defining greatness. WOW! TRIPLE F**KN" AAA!!!!!!

I love how LOUD I can crank this LP and get zero distortion or brittleness in the sound. A lot of that is inherent to the production/recording/source, but the mastering really does put it over the top.

Apologies, as I've not had a chance to review 29 pages here, but I'd appreciate knowing if this Kevin Gray version of Electric Warrior is available on CD, and if so, whether it is UPD 0081227974183

    Thank you all.

No, he only mastered it for vinyl - completely different process.

This had been on my wishlist for a while and I saw it yesterday at my local indie store and snapped it up. I was standing over it with my phone checking to see if it was the raved about pressing. It was and it's great like everyone says. Really silent vinyl , I turned it up after I switched inputs to phono and thought the needle hadn't hit the groove. Beautiful jacket too.

You just can't get anything better than this. It's impossible to find a better quality jacket, a better quality pressing and a better quality mastering. Now that quantity is more important than quality in the vinyl business (those mega box-sets with flimsy and low quality printed sleeves) this is a gift from heaven for real vinyl lovers.

What a job Kevin Gray did with this one!!! I seem to be singing his praise a lot lately, should hear the job he just did on Dr. John's - Gris Gris, Speakers Corner version.

Is it a reproduction of the original sleeve, with the inner picture bag and poster?

I sold mine. Balance just wasn't to my taste and I think this might because it's based on the original USA cut, not the UK one.

There are UK pressings as late as 1988 that are to die for. Even the Cube cut is a TKO.

Yes, it's worth considering that there are other versions out there. I have an original Fly and I replaced the new pressing with a old German one.

I happen to think the bass is over-emphasised on the Kevin Gray.

    And what does that mean?
