Nice to know we can resell these for more than what we pay for them.

Recheck your math. Once you factor in the shipping, any fees from your credit card for currency conversion and possibly customs charges it puts it closer to $65+ from Japan.

I'm paying around $42 for them (includes EMS shipping). My credit card has no currency conversion fees. No customs charges here.

$42 including EMS? Of course not. He's either kidding, or he's buying stolen goods/promos.

If he's not kidding, someone's making a mistake in pricing, and we should all jump on this.

So for those who own both SACD's, is it worth paying the premium for the 2003 release, or is the SHM 'as good but different'

If you can afford the 2003 SACd ..its on AmazonUk for over 300 POUNDS..absolutely stupid money and I saw one on Ebay for 65 pounds this week..get it, but the 2011, as already said is more bassy and being the Bolan completist I have to have both.Dont know how long the 2011 will stay in print..I paid around 37 pounds from CDjapan..Amazon Uk has it for 40.60pounds now.
For Dr bryant...yes I do think the MD32 Japanese 1st Warrior is smooth ..like the RCA Bowies...
    For DARRYL the T.rex guy..
To save you eyestrain..heres closer pics of the T.REX CD Collection..

    Part 3 Rex cds..
Also BEWARE..On Ebay now there is a seller wanting 300 pounds(Buy it Now) for one of these jackets. In his blurb he.says only THREE Exist in the world..This is not true..You could buy these in 1972 in trendy Boutiques. They are Rare but theres more than 3 out there.I have informed the Seller.
Be careful New Rex Collectors theres a few sharks out there..

Agreed...can't be buying from Japan as isn't it a Japanese law that the disc must be sold for the price on the OBI for the first 6 months (or a year)?

I A/B'd my U.K. SACD and my Japanese SHM-SACDs' respective stereo layers for ELECTRIC WARRIOR and stand by my review at the beginning of this thread.

BTW, I compared the SACDs on two separate systems and had the same feelings on both.

The new Japanese SHM-SACD is good, don't get me wrong on this. I simply prefer the U.K. SACD 'cause it has more dynamics to my ears on my two systems. Plus, I prefer the multichannel experience.

I absolutely did not know there were so many different releases of T. Rex's classic albums. At all. Fun photos, though ... and I drool at 'em ...

I put my orders in when there is a X15 points deal, which works out to 15% off. I buy 3 disks at a time, which is $150 minus 15% = $127.50

You'll remember this when they're going for $300 5 years from now.

It's in the second photo, just above the 'Slider' CDs.

I haven't been collecting vinyl all that long, so I don't really have too much.

JUst listened to the SHM SACD of EW. I think it sounds great. I don't have the earlier SACD to compare.
