Steven Wilson used to be, but I never pulled the trigger on the last album. I couldn't get into the tracks I heard on Spotify....

I have a reminder set. I won't miss that. I missed the first non-black pressing and was a bit bummed, but I'm really OK with it now. I love the variants he has been doing.

People who know everything I buy will think I'm kidding either myself or other people when I say: I don't feel I've got anyone on autobuy right now.

A new studio album from Kate Bush would be a definite preorder, but that's like saying if I found a unicorn I'd pay to stable it.

I preorder nice boxed sets when they look like they're worth having but that's always on merit, so - for example - I skipped the Dylan Gospel set after buying the Basement Tapes and Cutting Edge sets. I buy most of the big Grateful Dead sets but have skipped plenty of their releases. King Crimson and Jethro Tull releases are likely purchases because those sets are so reliable. I've got hell of a lot of John Zorn but I'm not a particular completist about it and there are plenty of albums that I haven't picked up until well after release.

I am very selective about what I collect. I never blindly order stuff. For instance I passed on Dylans MFSL SACDs that were already in the 2003 box set. Seems idiotic to duplicate them.

Not terribly costly...3 a year on average. The latest Peter Hammill came signed, which is a big deal 'round these parts.

The Church...I am very unhappy I was unaware and missed the OZ 2 CD releases from ten years ago. I am ready for the next re-iss.
