You're trying to game the system!
Not sure. I did it with plenty of orders though this time and it worked for all of them. I tried three different items that were the same price as well as three of the exact same item. Did it on the website on my phone (not the app) but that’s all I can think of that could be different. Also have a target red card…
It might be the red card then.
Has anyone been successful with this record without the red card?
I just placed another order this morning and no issues again...maybe it is a red card thing but I know others who don't have the red card and didn't have issues cancelling either. Maybe try the website instead of the app?
A friendly reminder to check back on the Target listings throughout the week. They keep adding new/old titles. Grabbed the Sade box set this morning from them but it's sold out again now. I believe on the app you can uncheck "show in stock items", then sign up for notifications for anything sold out you may want. I go an alert for Sade this morning and when I went on, there was 1 copy left.
Also, they seem to add stuff at the end of the week right before the sale ends. Can sometimes find some really good stuff then!
They have the Coltrane Love Supreme Verve Acoustic Sounds reissue in stock right now. Don’t remember that one before.
Now that’s a good deal! Wish they’d get some more of that series restocked. Would love to Grab Bill Evans 64.
It was added yesterday, so definitely keep an eye out throughout the sale.
That new 8-CD set from Robert Fripp 'Music For Quiet Moments' is in the Target sale. If you're looking for a $60 - $70 title to complete an order, you might consider this.
All new music recorded over the pandemic, previously released bit-by-bit online.
I think Trio 65 is up for preorder at Target...and the AS series will be raising their prices to $39 so might be worth grabbing any you're missing now that are in the sale.
Just placed a Target B2G1 order for 12 items (Verve Acoustic Sounds Series, Blue Note Tone Poet and Blue Note Classic).
I'd be hoping this sale would be reinstated, and it took a while, but glad its back.
Also added a few more with the UDiscover 40% sale, though find them less reliable.
At Target, jazz vinyl collectors might also be interested in the MPS AAA series (about a dozen titles from the German jazz label), various ECM titles, Horace Tapscott live, Craft/Concord, the Black Jazz series (Doug Carn, etc.).
What Concord/Craft titles have you found?
here's a good one, but it keeps going in and out of stock:
Terry Callier - The New Folk Sound (2 LP)(Deluxe) (Vinyl)
The Let It Be super deluxe cd set is sold out at Target. Hope it becomes available before the 2F1 sale ends, But I’m not counting on it.
sign up for the "notify me" alert if it's available. stuff keeps going in and out of stock. you may still get lucky.
I second this. The sade vinyl box set keeps going in and out of stock
There are (or were) some REM titles
Azar Lawrence - Summer Solstice (LP) (Vinyl)
Jonathan Richman - I, Jonathan (LP) (Vinyl)
John Coltrane - Another Side Of John Coltrane (CD)
Nickel Creek - This Side (2 LP) (Vinyl)
Vince Guaraldi Trio - A Boy Named Charlie Brown (Target Exclusive, Vinyl)
Country Joe & The Fish - I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die (LP) (Vinyl)
Nickel Creek - Why Should The Fire Die? (2 LP) (Vinyl)
Charlie Parker - The Savoy 10-inch LP Collection (CD)
Cybotron - Enter (LP) (Vinyl)
Google "target.com craft recordings" since Target's own search doesn't seem to work
I only bought the first one.
Another label I'd add in case it wasn't mentioned is Soul Jazz.
Great content, though I suspect the vinyl is all digitally sourced.
But if these are of interest, many of the titles are in the Target sale in CD and vinyl.
Soul Jazz : Target
Target also has that 5-CD Bill Evans Craft label box set, it's very nice.
Bill Evans - Everybody Still Digs Bill Evans (5 CD)
Anyone picking up the MPS jazz titles, like George Duke, Oscar Peterson, Joe Henderson, etc.?
I think these are all AAA, and in the Target sale work out to about $13 each.
I'd be interested to read suggestions on which titles folks favor.
I have (and recommend) Dexter Gordon and Slide Hampton (who just passed away), "A Day in Copenhagen" and Freddie Hubbard, "The Hub of Hubbard".
i didn't catch those so thanks! ordered.
If I'm seeing this right, John Coltrane's two 2022 Verve Acoustic Sounds titles are up on Target as/of today, but they are not part of the 3-for-2 sale.
John Coltrane - "Live" At The Village Vanguard (Verve Acoustic Sounds Series) (LP) (Vinyl)
John Coltrane Quartet - Crescent (Verve Acoustic Sounds Series) (LP) (Vinyl)
Here's the quick link to newly added pre-order titles. Page One went up today. Next year's Waterboys, another Charles Mingus, another Dream Theater Live, etc ... none are coming up 3-for-2.
Music Pre-Order : Target
This very strange 1963 electronic album has just been added at Target. Weird retro kitschy stuff ...
Tom Dissevelt - Fantasy In Orbit (2 Lp) (Vinyl)
Separate names with a comma.
