I swung by Target yesterday to pick up cat food and stopped in the music dept. Nirvana Nevermind and Pearl Jam Ten (Target Exclusive) for $7 each. I picked ‘em up. For that price I can play them once and throw them away! :—)
Has anyone purchased any music books (bios, etc.) from them? I've gotten a few during these sales in the past year of questionable quality, almost like Print-On-Demand editions (or maybe they're being supplied by a questionable distributor?). In particular, I just received a copy of 'The House that Trane Built' (paperback) that is all black & white inside and has the look of a standard to high quality photo-copy job. Other questionable titles include Mick Wall's 'Black Sabbath: Symptom of the Universe' (hardcover) and Arthur Taylor's 'Notes and Tones'.

Nice! I was kind of expecting this based on Tuesday's announcement that they were going to reduce prices and clear out inventory for low-selling merchandise...physical media seems to fit the bill more than anything.
I dunno about you guys, but I’m struggling to find things I’d actually want if this sale did include music. It seems like a lot of the more desirable Jazz titles are OOS and have been for quite a while even when they’ve been available elsewhere again. Almost like target preorders them from the labels, then doesn’t bother to restock after that initial order is run out

fingers crossed. i've been eyeing some target exclusives for a while. they also tend to load a lot more stuff to the site when they have these sales.
A trick I learned last time is to buy 3 things and cancel two of them. They still redeem the 3rd for 33% off. Got the Buffalo Springfield LP set for $66 that way by buying 3 and immediately canceling 2 of them. Took forever to ship but was worth it.
Pre-orders excluded from the sale, according to chatter on the vinyldeals reddit. I haven't bothered to check on this myself.
They have said this in the past as well and many times they work in the beginning of the sale and suddenly stop after the first day or two with movies especially. They've also shown a picture of vinyl in at least one past sale without actually mentioning it and once it started Vinyl wasn't included. Personally, I fully expect it not to work but I might throw a couple in my cart just in case and hope for the best.
