Cancelled all my Amazon pre-orders and ordered same stuff from the Target with the b2g2 dealio. Items such as Orange Crate Art, Dion Blues with Friends vinyl, new Dylan CD, new Fiona CD, some upcoming bronze age Marvel Comics Epic Collection books... gonna have boxes from Amazon trickling in until next Spring. Does Target do the same "pre-order price guarantee" that Amazon does? If something drops $5 between now and shipment date does my charge reflect that?
Ahahhaha, I do the same thing. Problem is, my wife is also working at home, so I "conveniently" clean the garage or water the garden around the time the mail is delivered.
I don’t think Target guarantees the pre-order prices other than locking you in at what price you ordered at. That said, Amazon prices fluctuate WILDLY to begin with; Target not so much.
I've noticed that quite a few things I was considering have sold out. I bought three items a couple of days ago and won't be surprised if it takes a few days to ship, because it seems that this sale is going gangbusters.
Ending up ordering the below --- the Dylan does not have a release date, should be interesting how that delivery goes -- the expected delivery date is Jan 1 - Wed, Jan 6 2021. The Rolling Stones - Bridges To Babylon (Lp) (Vinyl) Bob Dylan - Oh Mercy (2LP 45RPM 180G) (Vinyl) Grateful Dead - Fillmore West, San Francisco, CA 2/28/69 (5 lp Vinyl)
I noticed all of the excellent Ramones anniversary sets, most of the Pet Shop Boys Further Listening series, the new Little Steven CD/DVD sets and several Live at Rockpalast sets are on there.
also the trick of ordering then cancelling one item works. it then gives you a discount of the lowest item divided by 3. so i couldnt find 3 equal priced items i wanted, found a third of close value checked out. then cancelled that item discount then pro-rated for the two i wanted.
Was hoping they had the "Road to ruin" Ramones box ......... Oh well , Amazon only has 1 of the Ramones boxes in their sale .
yeah im tempted to get that 40th anniversary cd/lp box on amazon, they also have the mc5 box for close to the same price.
I kept my Neil Young "Homegrown" order with Amazon but I guess I should have switched to Target. My other Friday new releases (Dylan and Orange Crate Art) shipped yesterday from Target and are expect to arrive tomorrow on release day, Meanwhile my Amazon orders sit dormant with an expected delivery of Tuesday. Hrrpmph.
Aw man that sucks. I threw my Homegrown preorder in at Deep Discount to get free shipping on a couple of small Blowout Bin items. So far no shipping notice on that one either, but I’m hoping to see it sooner rather than later...
I wouldn’t give Target too much credit on deliveries. My pre-order of The Who’s last cd arrived more than a month after the release date.
