Target R4 Speaker Stand Question

Does anyone remeber if these stands, the ones with the four columns, were welded or bolted together? I seem to remember these being welded in the original models back in the early 90's. Now they are bolted and I am not sure they are even called R4. Further I think I heard they went out of business. Last but not least anyone know the pricing over the years.
Again the originals listed for something about $675.00 for the 24" stands.

The "old" R4 was a welded design and quite heavy. I purchased a pair of Rogers LS3/5A in 79 and during the 80's, the 24" R4 was the cats meow although many felt the light and rigid design offerred better performance. The closest stand availbale now is the Sound Anchor 4-post design. Hope that helps...
