I took a chance and bought on eBay from an English seller for $10.50 a VG+ graded copy of Teaser and the Firecat, pink-rimmed Island ILPS9154 with 3U/3U matrix numbers. Yes, it has some surface noise and does not build confidence in the English grading system. But it is also achingly beautiful. Transparent, perfect tone; Cat is in the room with me (and we don't have to talk religion or politics). Analog is great when you get lucky. :goodie:

The three (!) classic Cat albums are all just wonderful sounding, whatever they're played on. All cut by Lee Hulko at Sterling, apparently a favorite of the Producer (Paul Samwell-Smith). Alas, it all went strange at Buddha & the Chocolate Box, for no obvious reason. Catch Bull is still my favorite musically.
