Pretty excited about reverse play. I haven't talked with Satan in ages.

For a TT of this level, you kinda wish they'd gone with the much better 2M Blue instead of the lowly (and not much liked) Red.

I was really hoping they'd build up a whole line again! This 1500 is great! I hope they don't price it too high, though. If the price is too close to the others, the downgraded options won't make much sense.

Or that "sex is a sin".....which is what "This is a test" sounded like when played backward on a turntable.

This is what one found out working at a college radio station back in the 80s.

I love black gear and love the looks of the SL-1500C in black.

If I'd buy a MK7 the first thing I'd do would be change the LED to blue. I wonder if all LED can be changed to blue, including 33/45, reset and 8/16%, and not only the strobe light.

If I'd buy a C the first thing I'd do is swap the Red stylus for a Blue. :)

A pair of MK7 at work. I love the black tonearm-and-everything-else:

The 1500c is bizarre to me if it retails for any more than $600 USD or so. Anyone paying anymore than this is not going to want an integrated phono stage or an entry level cartridge. Weird product IMO.

Did any one else pick up on the two sets of RCA jacks around 1:13? Looks like you can bypass the internal preamp and use your own. I am psyched about the SL-1500C in black.

It has two pairs of RCA plugs in the back, I suppose one is to bypass the phono.

Doesn't Pro-Ject use the 2M Red or Silver on some of their $1000 tables? But agreed: I want this thing to be $599!

<$600 for a 22lb turntable by a tier #1 brand? C’mon man. You can bypass the integrated phono stage.

That's why I said it's a weird product. Most likely a fairly expensive table with an integrated phono stage (weird) and low level cartridge (weird).

I feel it's the opposite of weird. Assuming it comes in at <$1K, it's the perfect "second" or "upgrade" turntable with for those budding vinyl enthusiasts. Ready to use out-of-the-box (super important!) yet flexible enough to roll your own.

And easy to recommend to friends who are dipping their toes into (or back into) vinyl, as a complete system that sounds great without the fuss, assuming the price is right.

Not that weird, considering VPI sells a $1500 'table with an integrated phono (and the same dang crappy 2M Red cart included too).

But yes, I think many ppl buying a non-entry level TT would prefer to have no integrated phono. But I may be thinking that from my audiophile point-of-view, not realizing how many mainstream folks 'just want it done/all-in-one', no hassles, etc. etc.

Me too! I admit I do wish that my G looked more minimal, but then if they did that, who would buy the 1000R?

No 45 rpm adaptor on 1500C and no 78 speed.
