Hi, I'm having some trouble with the tape deck I just got. I'm not familiar with the internal mechanics of the tape transport, but I do have a couple videos showing the behavior I'm getting. Deck 1 (play only) basically doesn't work at all. It'll kind of play backwards and it'll rewind, but that's about it. Deck 2 (record/play) is unreliable. It'll play forward for about 15 - 20 minutes and then have a stop loop. If you wait a bit and turn it off, then try again it'll do another 15-20 minutes. Reverse play kind of works, but I'm not too concerned with reverse play. The videos linked at the bottom of this post do a better job showing what's wrong than I could work words.
