I was backstage at a Temps concert in the early 90's-- one of the most amazing things I've witnessed was Melvin Franklin being helped in (he could barely walk), and helped up to the stage. The minute he was visible to the crowd, as the music played, he started shuffling, dancing and singing with an enormous grin on his face. When the show ended, he made it to the wings and -- once out of the crowd's view -- nearly collapsed and a couple of guys who were waiting for him assisted him backstage. Testimony to the power of music, and the love he (and the other guys) had for performing and giving the audience a great show.
