I really like New Order, but the bulk of my favourites are around the album Lowlife.
Thieves like us - number 1 easily
    Perfect kiss
    Love vigilantes
    Are my top three

I like a lot of what I've heard. I just listened to Vanishing Point for the first time, which is pretty good, and right now it's Crystal, which is maybe not quite as good but still sounds alright.

The notable exception is Blue Monday, which I have never liked.

Yes, Thieves Like Us is to me their most astounding and perfect work, I never get tired of it. Far and away my #1 as well.

it's a good song, but imho it is a little bit too much sounding like don't you want me from human league

Also ranking the LP version of The Perfect Kiss in the top 10 and the 12” version all the way down the list at 37 is ABSOLUTE BLASPHEMY. The LP mix is missing the best part of the song!

I agree with True Faith at the top and Who’s Joe at the bottom. In between, there are some I’d switch around in my personal list.

Ditto. They're one of the few where I'm only interested in their remixes than their original stuff on the albums.

That All Day Long is that far down the list is a crime.

Agree. It's just what I was about to post. One of my favorites. Easily a top five for me.

  12. Hollow Horse

Regret and Waiting For The Siren's Call.

Sixty songs - they made as many as that?

    Fair play!

I go back and forth between Ceremony and the Substance version of Temptation. But when those songs were new, it was definitely Bizarre Love Triangle.

I had to go to youtube to listen to Crystal, a song I had totally forgotten (even though it went to #3 on canadian charts in 2001... when I was 19...)

It's all right but there is at least 2 dozen better songs on the list.

“Player in the League” deserves love. Beautiful instrumental b-side from GET READY

Seriously. The LP version of that song feels so silly to me. It ends before it really gets to go anywhere

If I thought about it for long enough I could do a top 60. A top 10 is easier in the moment though...

    1. Temptation (1982 12” version)
    2. Ceremony (12” version)
    3. Bizarre Love Triangle (LP version)
    4. Procession
    5. Leave Me Alone
    6. The Perfect Kiss (12” version)
    7. Love Vigilantes
    8. Regret
    9. Broken Promise
    10. Primitive Notion

"Fine Time" should be top 10 IMO

Fine Time is great as a single but always felt out of place on Technique to me. It’s like an intro track and then the album changes considerably for the next couple songs.

The Perfect Kiss is probably my favorite

Mostly the Low Life tracks - that was their best album start to finish. Sub-culture might be there best no edit album cut.

Low Life is really solid. Sunrise didn’t make my top 10 but it’d be number 11 or 12

I got this on vinyl last year - an original UK copy for only $15, and it's fantastic

But the record skipped on Sunrise when it got to playing. I know I need to clean the LP itself, but the issue with Sunrise is it's really hard to tell where the song actually is for half it's duration. But, a lot of the album does this, it's a pure focus on incredibly proper musicianship that I don't hear as much before this album. I'm not claiming New Order can't play their instruments mind you - it's just these pieces (particularly for Peter) have more going on song for song.
