I used to have a 60 minute cassette with Reign in Blood on one side (plus their cover of In a Gadda da Vida from the Less than Zero soundtrack) and SOD's Speak English or Die on the other side. (Also featured a handdrawn Sgt. D on the J-card.) Wish I still had it.

Probably Abbey Road. There are certain albums, like Dark Side of The Moon & Wish You Were Here, for example, that make more sense as an album than as a bunch of individual songs. Abbey Road makes more sense as an album length program.

It would probably be one of these four.

Although I'll go through phases (that sometimes last for years) of listening to one artist or another, I've got to go with Dark Side...also; just long enough to feel complete, yet not so long that you start to wonder what you're going to play next.

I find that rather interesting. I have a small number of albums where I skip one or more tracks, but for the most part I listen to the entire album from start to finish, no matter what the album is.

There are lots of albums I've listened to multiple times, but The Wall, The Beatles (White Album) and Alice in Chains' Dirt may top the list. Meet/With The Beatles would also be a contender and I started listening to that one long before I was aware of the others. I've spun Full Moon Fever and Wildflowers by Tom Petty quite a bit. Guess I should have noted each play in a journal. :D

Oh Lord no. It's supposed to be for enjoyment, not for a homework assignment. :D

I'm sure most of us are really just taking an educated guess at our most listened to albums. I'd say if you know exactly how many times you've heard a favourite bit of music, you've made it a ritual or a chore rather than an enjoyable activity. It's a bit like the saying "If you know exactly how much money you've got, then you're not really rich."

This is a really good Forum question.

    One of these:

Laura Nyro - Christmas and The Beads of Sweat (my guess this is #1, but who knows. It came out in 1971 and is one of those albums that a person listens to from beginning to end.)
    Gram Parsons - Grevious Angel
Art Pepper - Winter Moon (released in the early 1980s, so had a lot to catch up to with the above. But I think it's in the running because Nyro is a "vinyl" listen, while Winter Moon is an "all format" listen, and it's great for night time road trips.)

More recently, in the last few years:

Jason Isbell - Southeastern. No question about it.

Probably Michael Jackson Off the Wall , I was 9 when it came out, or The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced, because I've always loved Hendrix.

Rubber Soul. 2nd is probably Revolver. Hundreds of listens each, taped on reel-to-reel to save the LPs (good thing the AKAI glass heads could take a lot of wear!)
