Dunno if already said but The Police - Ghost in the Machine is a good example imo...

Stone Cold Crazy is actually my favourite song from the album, but I find the first three songs to be the peak. The whole of side 1 is amazing in terms of sequencing and flow. Side 2 is great as well but it kinda falls apart by the end (not that the last few songs are bad but I like the songs on side 1 much more)

Speaking of Close To The Edge, Relayer is also a record with only 3 songs and all of those are the peak IMO

I would think many would put The Eagles "Hotel California" in this list: title track, New Kid in Town, and Life in the Fast Lane. At least they are likely the most popular songs on the album. Personally, I like Try and Love Again the best.

I tend to also think of Steely Dan's "Aja" when I think of Hotel California. Black Cow, title track, and Deacon Blues are probably the most popular songs, and for this album are probably my 3 favorites, though most of side 2 IMO is quality as well.

    ABBA - Super Trouper

    1) Super Trouper
    2) The Winner Takes It All
    3) On and On and On
Although 4) Andante, Andante is just as good.

But nothing else is anywhere near as good as those first 3/4.

Damn the Torpedoes by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. When casually listening, I wear out the first three and only then put on "Louisiana Rain"..

Unlike others, I welcome any mention of The Beatles. A Hard Day's Night has three great songs in the beginning so it qualifies.

I had a theory that Lou buried his catchiest, best song ever in the middle of Side 4 of MMM, but no one ever got that far through the record to find it.

Although I love the album version of Cat People much better than the soundtrack version,
I would probably put Bowie's Let's Dance in this category. [Modern Love, China Girl, Let's Dance]
