I am currently listening to the demos that were released on Bad 25.

It's known that he recorded many demos for Bad (I am sure 60 was the figure mentioned at the time of Bad 25). It's a shame more weren't included, rather than pointless modern day remixes.

    Maybe in the future.....

From what I recall at the time, there was high anticipation.

The public hadn't turned on MJ at this point and was still curious. The problem was, the press had filled the time gap with a lot of speculation about his antics and appearance.

That and a lot of other bands grabbed the limelight during MJ's absence.

All of this collectively muted the impact of the album a bit. Taken on its own merits it was great MJ but not up to par with Thriller. I recall not being taken aback by his physical looks on the album cover, but by the silliness of MJ trying to look "bad"... I don't even think people would've bought such posturing in 1984.
