Ok thanks. Not sure whether to order from somewhere else, already have it on Blu-ray. Will appreciate views on picture, sound quality and the book.

Thanks. Sounds pretty good, would like more info on book as I am reasonably happy with current version and tend to watch extras a maximum of once.

Should also say I disagree completely with his view of Lemmon's performance. I think he pitched it perfectly between comedy (when called for) and serious drama. One of the greatest "loser" performances of all time (until the last 30 seconds). He and MacLaine deserved Oscars

This limited edition seems to be sold out almost everywhere. Many people had their order at Amazon cancelled.

It is available at Amazon UK for about $33.00. It will be gone from there soon so if you want one you better not linger.

My UK edition just states Region B on the back cover, but I looked on the blu-ray.com forum and a number of posters state it is Region A/B so you should be OK.

It isn't available at amazon UK directly anymore. You can preorder it at amazon.ca but who knows if they will be fulfilled.

I pre-ordered this directly from Arrow on the day of announcement, and they still haven’t fulfilled my order. So, I’ve requested a refund from them and, instead, have gone out and purchased a copy from Fopp.

That’s two pre-orders made via the Arrow legacy site that they’ve failed to deliver. The first was Carrie. Luckily, I was able to find a copy of that in Fopp also.

I still have two pre-orders outstanding via the legacy site. At this stage, I have little faith that these will be delivered on time, or at all. I’m not the only one to be affected by problems with legacy orders. It’s a massive administrative cock-up on Arrow’s part.

    Yes; yes it is.
Flynn's GF Beverly Aadland (all of 16 years old, IIRC) is laughably bad, and I wish Flynn had stayed off camera, he had aged so fast in the last decade of his life due to the alcohol and heroin and to see him alongside a girl who could've been his granddaughter is just pathetic.

Yes, but would be great if someone here could verify that. Is there something about region listed on box that you can see?

You can't always rely on the region coding listed on the packaging to be accurate. DVD Beaver has reviewed discs in the past where the packaging indicated the disc was Region B locked but the disc turned out to be region-free when it was actually played. Given that multiple people on the Blu-ray.com forums have apparently played the UK disc and found it to be region-free, if it were me I don't think I'd be basing a purchase decision off the fact that the packaging states that it's Region B.

I actually have a copy of the UK set on its way to me, but I'm not sure if I'm going to open or keep it yet, due to a comedy of errors with another vendor that may or may not result in me also winding up with a copy of the US set I'd originally preordered at Amazon (and had my preorder cancelled when they couldn't fulfill it). However, I usually don't pay much attention to region coding since I have a region-free player.
