Just ordered -- the price is right. I'm not expecting anything great, but I will be sure to report back.

Sure would love a remixed from multi version of Head First on vinyl. I know the market for it is limited, but seems like the kind of thing that RSD is made for. After all these years, surely the legal twists have been sorted?

yeah it's probably possible...if the parties who were involved with the licensing to Snapper release back in 2000 were interested. Record Store Day is probably the only viable outlet for such a release.

A couple Remixed versions were posted on YouTube after 2014, and again in 2016.

Russian label; generous to consider these as gray market. I bought a low-priced copy of "Maybe Tomorrow" from a UK seller, who listed it as a UK item (intentionally misleading, I believe). Decent reproduction of cover printed on thin card stock - slight seam split from shipping. Keeping it sealed for now. Russian address legible in lower-right corner of Gary Walker & The Rain LP back cover.

Thank you @BryanW for clarifying the vinyl reissues in 2020 of these two LP's....saw some info earlier through Disk Union website and believing these were Japanese manufactured and possibly grey market titles. Your help is much appreciated!

    Paul,
That was very interesting, and new info to me regarding Badfinger starting their live sets
with the excellent early Steve Miller song "My Dark Hour"!
I love the album and song.. those early Steve Miller LP's have a special place in my heart
(thou.. I've probably never mentioned him a single time on SHF) .. Thank you for that info.
Rather amazing that I never noticed this..

I don't know. I have mixed feelings with him. I can appreciate his solo work and the years with Badfinger up to 1974, but I just don't like that he allowed the mid-90s ASCAP thing go unanswered at the event itself when Mariah Carey's version put the spotlight once again on Without You's authorship. I know he gives credit to Pete and Tom for the actual authorship, but he knew what was happening. Why else would the Ham estate refuse to be part of that celebration?

    thanks for posting @flyingdutchman

I understand that Bill Collins and Mike Gibbins were both present that evening at ASCAP presentation to accept Pete & Tom's composition....it's a win for those writers certainly...can't take yesterday back though the Ham & Evans families deserve the Honors.
Is there any footage of the complete presentation ceremony online anywhere and not edited parts featured in "VH-1 Behind The Music"

November 14, 1970 Billboard Albums review for many artists including...

    Badfinger's No Dice LP

    No Dice.

Badfinger carries on the rhythm-happy tradition of the early Beatles, rocking to the big beat without hang-ups or pretensions of profundity. Pete Ham and Joey Molland write most of the group’s original material, but songs, as well as the Liverpool-type voices, cover the Beatles like a Xerox. The catch is they’re good, and prove it nicely on “No Matter What,” “Better Days,” “Without You” and “I Can’t Take It.”

Scorpio got their Warner Bros. cut out albums and stuck them in their Jimmy's Music World $1 LP store in NYC. In '80 I saw mountains of 25 count cartons of them in there. Warner Bros. really got killed on them, so did Badfinger, only Polley made money.
