Yeah, that's his thing. It's cool though. I wish I had his artwork skills. Impressive.

Thanks for the kind words. Believe it or not, I do the cover art on MS Word, which is far more versatile than you might imagine. For the disc art, I use CD Label Designer from Dataland Software.

Yeah... Well, maybe it's a Mike and Brian shootoff, with Al and Carl's estate there behind in the wings.

Does it really matter that we know who is holding up the release? I just hope that the member(s) who take issue resolve them soon. As this is a copyright release, this needs to be released before the need of the year. Time is of the essence at this point. Even with a Christmas release, this set would have to go into production by early October.

Well, is there a member who held another box set hostage for about a year until his rather petty demands were met? One who had trouble holding on to his ego?

Dennis, or his family anyway, unfortunately doesn't hold a share in the company anymore.

I’d love this to happen ASAP, as we all would. We can probably deduce whom is delaying this. But, that’s a waste of time. We’re not privy to that information. A November release would be great. Just in time for Christmas

Only in Beach Boys land can a box set featuring material from two of their best albums be put on indefinite hold:rolleyes: The irony is that if it is Mike holding it up, he is keeping people from hearing some of his best songwriting and vocals...the early version of Big Sur, for example; Sweet and Bitter, All I Wanna Do...even Don't Go Near the Water:)

Maybe the box set should be renamed It's About Time...

If it was up to me, they'd dump their entire archives (at least the interesting, listenable stuff) online right now, instead of waiting for every year to reach a silly 50 year anniversary.

Something to look forward to every year I guess.

So if we don’t get Sunflower 50th Anniversary does that mean Surf‘s Up 50th Anniversary is more doable?
