I'd personally use the rough mixes of Let It Down and Hear Me Lord... both have a POB groove and the guitars are nice and crunchy. By all means include It Don't Come Easy. It was recorded with George, of course, (his demo vocal version is quite nice) while the Beatles were still technically together. Recording started just a few weeks after Paul, George and Ringo recorded I Me Mine and added overdubs to Let It Be in early January 1970. Ron

    And he's so clean ! :D

Yes, I have both of his versions also , which I am listening to right now.

The first version opens with "Mrs. Lennon" by Yoko. Interesting. ;) :p

P.S I just got through both of Sean's versions. They are both excellent. We were both shooting for different concepts. Sean's versions are like the next step or more evolution wise than mine. Tracks like "It Don't Come Easy" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" etc., being fully produced, won't work in my Kinfauns -like bootleg scenario.

The funny thing is... years ago we both exchanged our comps before talking about what tracks we used first, if I remember correctly. It strikes me funny that we used quite a few of the same tracks, and I had also done a first version and had used "Remember" myself but ultimately it got dropped for "Oh My Love" I think.

I'll take Sean's comp/comps for " More produced and finished Beatles songs" and I'm gonna enjoy mine for"Kinfauns Two: The Beatles As Nature Intended", their last bootleg. :D

And now, I'm gonna play the real Kinfauns disc, because it dawns on me I haven't given THAT a spin in awhile.

But, I STILL don't think "What Is Life " sounds like a "Beatles track. Take that, geniuses ! :nyah: ;)

Wayne, any comp that utilizes "Fish on the Sand" and "Little Willow " is OK with me. :D

Thanks all for keeping this thread alive! Lots of great suggestions here. I did a remix of "Instant Karma" from the 5.1s that manages to remove most of the echo and makes it sound a lot closer to something that would have fit on the Let It Be LP.

How about a "Beatles at Home" album...recorded quickly independently and compiled by Apple in 1970 called:

JUST TURN ME ON (using tracks from POB, McCartney and Anthology 3)

    Side 1
    1. Momma Miss America
    2. I Found Out
    3. That Would Be Something
    4. Look at Me
    5. Something (demo)
    6. Oo You
    7. My Mummy's Dead

    Side 2
    8. Hot as Sun/Glasses
    9. Well Well Well
    10. Junk
    11. Remember
    12. All Things Must Pass (demo)

    Dr. Pepper What, me worry?

I love both those songs, but I'm so ignorant I didn't ever notice cello on either track.
