Been out on Blu Ray since 2012. And I mean both.

Your Mother Should Know comes just in time after Blue Jay Way.

    Relief from the awesome "heaviness".

    They pair up well together.

    Balance each other out.

The Beatles always knew how to be versatile and mix it up.

    But I AM wondering.

Are TWO discs of Your Mother Should Know really enough?

Perhaps you're referring to two discs of stereo...but what about mono YMSK?

Lots of stuff to fill a MMT album box.
All movie mixes over the years.
    Album remixed.
The pre 68 Yellow Submarine songs.
    Outtakes. More takes of SFF.
    Work tapes of all songs.

Maybe make it a Capitolâ„¢ Project and push the U. S. angle. Original duophonic mixes, 1966 mix of SFF.

    I'd like it.

It's already been remastered for high-definition. The Bluray has been around for a few years now.

    Yes to original duophonic mixes.

Let others sneer and stay away.

    I'll gladly accept them.

To me, duophonic improved...She Loves You and I'll Get You on the Second Album.

I would prefer that there be no Giles Martin involvement. Maybe then we could get a descent 5.1 mix.

Giles Martin and Sam Okell created 2.0 and 5.1 mixes for the 2012 Bluray.

I'd start by compiling the EP tracks along with the other tracks of that era....some of which showed up on Yellow Submarine. There would be no need to protect the Yellow Submarine album, so I'd pick it apart.....it's already been given an update. You can configure this a few ways, but this seems pretty good:

    SIDE ONE (from the soundtrack)
    Magical Mystery Tour
    The Fool On The Hill
    Flying
    Blue Jay Way
    Your Mother Should Know
    I Am The Walrus

SIDE TWO (others from the era)
    Hello Goodbye
    Only A Northern Song
    Baby You're A Rich Man
    All Together Now
    It's All Too Much
    All You Need Is Love

Base the super deluxe box set around those tracks. There's no way would I use Lady Madonna, Ineer Light, Across The Universe or Hey Bulldog....they'd all go on the White Album deluxe box set. Only A Northern Song was not included on the Pepper box, so it goes here. So, using these tracks as the album.....create the super deluxe just as the Pepper box format:
    - stereo remix
    - mono album
    - session outtakes (multiple discs)
    - bluray audio
    - stereo remix LP
    - bluray special/movie

I would say White Album and Abbey Road would get the big box treatment before MMT.

Seriously-how can your post only get 3 likes!!! That is absolutely so awesome and funny too -thanks for posting it. And we got to hear MMT backwards and the inner Pepper groove too. SO Good! I will order one crate please for those great goodies but mostly for Magical Mystery II: Give My Regards to Broad Street. :uhhuh:

I kind of believed it pretty much up until it said "original B&W broadcast!" I was like "Huh?!?! Why would they have that?"
