Voted for It Won't Be Long.

Little Child as well, it's buried, but I've read somewhere that was the intention to give more spotlight to the rhythm from the piano.
The absolute worst in this regard is Hold Me Tight. Every cover of this song I've seen has "wrong" bass line just doubling what lead guitar plays.

    Same here.

Roll Over Beethoven, followed by Not a Second Time and Devil in Her Heart.

Listening to 2009 stereo it sounds different to me only in musical style. Sounds as good to me.

My second pick would be Devil In Her Heart, then Mister Postman I think.

From the 1st album? There's a comparatively big fat bass on the 1st album, and overall the sound is comparatively squashed and small on the 2nd (to my ears).

Little Child is the only ‘okay’ or worse song here imo.

'All my loving' Easily! quite frankly, I think the album is piss poor and one of
the weakest albums in their catalogue........

Toss between "All I've Got To Do" and "Not a Second Time." I chose "All I've Got To Do" for the poll since it looks like it's in the possible top 3 spot.

Excellent tracks but don't think they better Taxman/Eleanor Rigby/I'm Only Sleeping

The two bookends are an improvement on the first album.

When push comes to shove, it’s gotta be Money. For my dollar, it’s the Beatles’s best cover.

In terms of the originals, All My Loving is the standout. It Won’t Be Long and All I’ve Got to Do are the runners up.

Anyone else not really enamored with "Money"? It sounds like they're trying too hard to top the previous album's stellar, more naturally effortless, instant-classic of a finale.

Certainly it's had nowhere near the impact of "Twist And Shout" in the popular culture.

The early attempt at bouncing/syncing, and Martin's stiff piano playing don't help much either.

The backing vocals can't be beat though!

I think Money is slightly better than Twist and Shout. It certainly has more energy, and John’s vocals are fantastic (as are McCartney’s backing box).

A lot better ,"Twist & Shout" is a decent rocker but overrated. "Money" is a better song and The Beatles recording rocks heavy for 1963

Actually, yes, you’re right. I also like the first 3 tracks on Rubber Soul wayyyy more. I don’t know what I’m on about.

It used to be one of the few Beatles songs and covers I didn’t like. Now I love it. Twist and Shout is infinitely better in my mind, though, but this isn’t a bad follow up.
