This is an impossible task for me. All I've Got to Do, You Really Got a Hold on Me, Not a Second Time, Money - but to choose only one?

"Please Mr. Postman" and "You Really Got A Hold On Me" are two of their very best covers IMO.

Best will always be subjective, so it’s really the same question.

I usually don't, but my mind is stuck on what I grew up with....
I remember better "Meet" than "With"...

Not sure i agree with that. for me, there are songs (records) that are amazing, yet, other ones that are not amazing, genius, etc., but that i love....so...i think 2 different questions...

Hey Vinyl Man Another bloody Yank down under...

"Devil in Her Heart"...it feels blasphemous to vote for a cover, but they really make it their own and it cooks like nothing else. (The original isn't even really very good in my opinion, which just goes to show how remarkable they were in that they were able to improve it so much.) "Not a Second Time" is up there too, the first song that got them taken seriously by the musical establishment as serious craftsmen.

I have always adored it. I haven't heard the original. And yes I believe a critic likened Not a Second Time's song structure to another song? A classical piece I think?

The vast majority of people think that their favourite is the best. You're looking too much into it.

Wow that's interesting, I've always felt it was one of, if not THE, most exciting albums of the 60's.

Can't even imagine what the impact must've been like at the time. These guys are just gonna keep being amazing!

WITH THE BEATLES never fails to put a huge smile on my face. It's the sound of joy!

    Wow; not an easy one.

I chose Roll Over Beethoven. My other favorites are It Won't Be Long and the cover of Money.
All My Loving and Not A Second Time would come after those for me.

It was either Roll Over Beethoven or It Won't Be Long for me. It's really a tie for me, but I can't vote for two here.
I think the Beatles' version adds something new and is far more exciting than Chuck Berry's original.

It's the greatest. It's my favorite Beatles album (of the original U.K. ones, anyway). The sound of joy indeed.

If it's one track only from this album I have to choose Money.
My next two favourites are All I've Got To Do and Not A Second Time.
There's a lot to like on this album though and Paul's top-line backing vocals are killer. Him and Graham Nash were the two best harmony/backing singers in the country. George's lower backing harmonies are a bit of a Beatles secret weapon and talking of George, I really like Don't Bother Me and count his lead vocals - 3 plus a high profile part on You Really Got A Hold On Me. Paul does a lot of singing both as "girl group backing vocalist" with George on tracks like It Wont Be Long and Money and as John's harmony man on All I've Got To Do but he only has 3 solo leads - All My Loving / Till There Was You and Hold Me Tight.
    Great album.

Don't Bother Me. Finest song George wrote until 1969.

In The End there can be only one and It won't be Long :)

Really: All my Loving is too sugary for me. Number two is probably All I've got to Do.

Regarding the best intro-trio: if I Feel Fine it's A Hard Day's Night, Yes it Is, and if I'm Down I Will listen to Beatles for Sale..

It Won't Be Long. Pure early Lennon energy number, It conveys the excitement of beatlemania.

It is a great opener too (something you wouldn't know if you only had Meet the Beatles!).

"Money" - absolutely nothing is held back.

Some of the tracks have energy (eg., "All My Loving", "Postman", "Beethoven", but I've found many lack The Beatles magic. When the stylus hits the "Money" groove, all the short-comings of the album are ancient history. No matter what place you've been, "Money" puts you in the present and nothing else matters until the stylus hits the run-out groove. And the only thing you can do is to play it again.

I really don't like this album. The covers are the only good things on it.
Edit: OK, Hold Me Tight is really good.

I've always liked the first three songs and the Motown covers from this album but since I could only pick one, I chose "All My Loving".
