I have a pair of Audio Note UK AN-J/lx's as mentioned before made in Austria. British speakers I've heard and liked include:

    Spendor FL-9
    Harbeth 30.2, 40.1, SL5
Proac, various models I can never seem to keep track.
    Quad ESL 989s
Whardale, small entry level monitors I forget the model name

Probably a few others I'm forgetting though the ANs are the only British speaker I've personally owned.

Like others here would love a pair of Spendor SP100s though I've never heard them everything I've read makes me know I would love them.

:) Yes, the irony has no end. I had a B&W CM10 S2. On the packaging was a label - Country of origin: England. One could hope - great!
But on the speakers, the connector had a plate with the series and text - made in China.

I looked in my archive for a photo of my B&W CM10 S2 speakers. Today I don't have those speakers anymore, I don't have that system anymore.
But while I had them - they were great sounding towers.

Still loving my Harbeth 30.1. They've been with me for many years and are my longest lasting audio purchase.

Thanks! I forgot, I did use B&W DM601s for a few years, driven by my Dynaco SCA35 in a nearfield setup. They sounded good, but were easily dispatched by Triangle Tituses in 2002 (which are still in my system). They were very good for the $350 cost though.

I later used the B&Ws as a series-connected center channel (phantom image) for a year or more. Had a wall unit with a center TV bay, they fit perfectly to the left and right of the TV. The system was 5.1 driven by a Denon AVR.

The B&Ws are in my closet upstairs …

I've had a pair of Tannoy Chester T-165s on loan for over a year but have now finally bought them.
They really are very good. :)

Guys, I am going to buy floorstanders for a room of 25 square meters. I am currently using Dali Zensor 1 and Dali Spektor 1.
    I consider:

    KEF Q750
    Monitor Audio Silver 300 6G
    Audio Bronze 500 monitor
Paradigm Monitor SE 6000F (sorry, I know it's Canadian)

    Which do you recommend?

    Let me add that

    1. I listen to rock like Clapton, Dire Straits but also heavy metal.

2.The loudspeakers will play with two amplifiers:

    NAD C 356BEE (main) - 2 x 80 W, min: 4 Ω

    Yaqin MS-30L (for vinyl) - 2x 50 W, 4 Ω, 8 Ω

    Thank you!

Not really, I have a nice pair of them that I don't use because they just don't tic all boxes for me.

A very large speaker that sounds like a small bookshelf. There isn't much low frequency/bass from them unless you can play them loud. I have found with most speakers you can improve bass response with more powerful power amps. This speaker never changed it's characteristic with larger amps. It didn't matter if I had a 100 or 500 watt hooked to them, it didn't improve bass, since there is no large low frequency driver for all that power to control.

These speakers are the size of small refrigerators and take up a lot of floor space. While you can improve bass response adding subs into the system with them, it will take up even more floor space, not to mention complicating the system more.

I can get a wider range of frequency out of many other speakers, that take up far less floor space than these do.

I have a pair of Quad 11L2 in my office, really love the sound for a small monitor.

My other setup has Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40 in birds-eye maple finish, gorgeous looking and sounding!

    System with 2 amplifiers ... interesting :)
It will be fun to switch cables from 1 to 2 ... until you get bored :)

I have a friend who recently bought a Vacuum tube amp, in addition to the SS. Now it has a "summer" and "winter" amplifier ... SS for summer, lamps for winter (due to heating).

Congratulations on your purchase of Paradigm. It should be good!

However, be prepared that your 25 square meters of room will not be filled with real, full sound. A 14 cm bass membrane is not a promising size for the square footage of your room (although there are 2-3 of them).
I look at the Paradigm web, the next larger model (8000) has a 203mm bass diaphragm. I mean - there is a huge difference between a 140mm membrane and a 203mm membrane, and the model is next to the model in the same series.
    Good luck :)
