Is anyone watching this grim but captivating murder mystery? Netflix shows it can still produce quality programs from time to time! I enjoyed the novel, and this 6-part series does it justice. Some aspects of the crimes are not for the faint of heart. In Danish with English subtitles.
Why this forum is worth the price of admission. I had no idea this was even a thing till this thread. We watched the first episode and quite good stuff.
So do I. I’d love to see some Lars Kepler novels adapted into TV series or movies. I read that The Sandman was being adapted by Netflix, but the one I found is not the same story. EDIT: The Hypnotist has been adapted. I’ll have to look into that.
I watched episode 1 last night and the creepy 'darkness' of the story certainly grabbed me and it looks like it's another quality entry in Scandi-noir' cannon. I've no idea why but my daughter says she was annoyed by the ending.
Finished this a few nights ago. I've got a bit bored of Scandi-noir over the last few years but this was good. It had most clichés going but the pacing was quite rapid and it felt more fulfilling than most. I'd definitely recommend it.
Finished it last night and enjoyed it, although I thought there were too many implausible elements to who the Chestnut Man turned out to be and it didn't have to be so contrived.
I've watched three episodes so far but I don't think I'll be going back. I'm enjoying `Manhunt' with Martin Clunes on Acorn a great deal more.
I watched the first episode today. It seemed pretty slow to me and I had a hard time staying focused on it. Not sure I am going to go any further with it.
My wife and I have been really enjoying this. We're down to the last episode which we'll watch tomorrow. Parts of it have reminded me of season 1 of True Detective. In any case, great series and sorry that it will be over.
