    Hi,

For fans of Sean Lennon, Ghost of A Sabre Tooth Tiger, Les Claypool and Primus, the duo announce their second album 'South Of Realty' coming out in February next year. I liked their first album 'Monolith of Phobos' so I am interested in what they do next.

I really like the new track 'Blood Rockets': it has a dare I say it 'White Album/Abbey Road' vibe with Claypool's distinctive bass playing rumbling underneath, nice falsetto from Sean too.

Anyway, please join me for the build up and release and discussion throughout.

I really liked the 1st album but I just wish the drums were a little busier to match the technical prowess of claypool. A prog style drumming would put this band over the top. New song sounds good thanks for posting.

While I finally got my system to where my CD's sound nearly as excellent as my LP's (new cart put the vinyl ahead again!) and I am satisfied with the excellent sound of MoP, I'm going for Vinyl on this one. I'm still getting used to Les. As much as I love him, I really do, these projects away from Primus do much more to endear me to his vocal/songwriting style than actual Primus releases. Don't get me wrong, this is a situation in which the artist's style begs me to listen more and more. As for Sean, well, keep 'em coming!

BTW - I kept getting flashes of 'Monolith...' while watching First Man at the cinema. Buzz!

Sweet! The new song is awesome. Im really looking forward to hear this album. I have the first album on vinyl. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise on that print , so I hope there is better quality control on the new release.

Gaah - just got a notice that Les & Sean are coming back to Asheville next April when I am away. I am very sad!!! *Loved* seeing them the last time out.

Tour dates are up on their website - scroll way down on the page. Presales tomorrow (Wed 12/12).

So the fun 'Easily Charmed By Fool's has arrived. A typically quirky Claypool lead vocal on this one with some great harmonies going on:

Need to check these out soon (my profile pic should show Sean is an influence on me!).

I enjoyed Ghost Of A Sabre Tooth Tiger (and saw them live, that was a fun gig, proving Sean should never be underestimated as a guitarist). Are that band officially no more now?

Definitely buying this album. Strange that the CD is not currently available to pre-order on Amazon UK, though.

I have my tickets for Detroit at the end of April. Majestic Theater is a very cozy place to see a show. Counting down the days until the album is out!

I'm all in for the vinyl. Cool looking pink/aqua splatter vinyl available as a preorder from the bands website.
Pre-order on amazon is on light pink vinyl. Does anybody know if the preorder splatter from the bands website is
an exclusive or will they all be the splatter? You can never tell with Amazons color vinyl descriptions.

I'm listening to this for the first time. LP arrived today. Neither LP is totally flat. This offering sounds better than the debut.

Musically so far, so good. A bit more rocking than the debut.
