Who knows? Maybe it does exist in its entirety. Keeping fingers crossed. I wouldn't take Historic Films document as the last word on what we may get. Either way it's going to be good. If Lerner didn't capture the doors entire set on film then why would he contradict himself stating "the film will present the doors' performance in its entirety? February 23rd cant come soon enough. Looking forward to it

Anyone know why Isle of Wight was shot in the dark?

So even the audio disc presents the concert out of order? Why on earth??

Heard about this only "Jim Morrison’s unwillingness to have movie spotlights on the band, leaving The Doors to perform almost completely in the dark"

    Interesting Post.
Historic films is a company who "owns" many footage buy several bands. They don´t sell or licence footage to privates, they licence it to TV companies and music labels for documentaries and full releases. Interestingly, a while ago I asked about some Jethro Tull footage. The price for those reels were in the order of 3000$ per minute for private use. I wonder how much did The Doors pay for the IOW reels, and if they simply bought the footage or obtained it for free after a legal claim.
Insiders may you ask about how the IOW footage was obtained and/or how much was paid?

Pats, do you think we'll ever get PBS Critique on blu-ray?

Haven't heard about the Chicago video footage. I think they may be releasing the audio of it next year. Lerner's obit mentioned Joni Mitchell footage in the near future. I'm excited for that one!

Free's 1970 Isle Of Wight performance is on the Free Forever dvd but they haven't released an audio version and I can't recall if it is the complete show.

according to Mild Equator only Bakersfield was filmed partially. Unfortunately The Doors Guide went off couple years ago, maybe there was more info.

Trying to figure out why Amazon pulled The Doors Isle of Wight dvd/blu ray off of the site? What happened? Has the release been postponed?
