What will we do?......chalk it up to another botched release.

Pats, how would you explain someone in the Doors's team's decision to add triggered drums to a live album, much less one that was recorded in 1970?.....it makes absolutely zero sense and it shows...

Yeah, you can say "don't buy it" but why would a decision like this be approved in the first place??...not to mention the other ridiculous overdubs, covered more than enough on this site.

We could defend the indefensible, for example.

A pity that there's always somebody who'll pop in to say the emperor's not wearing any clothes and spoil the fun, though.

You guys still think we are going to get a complete Matrix release? I just don’t ever see that happening. What’s the point? The 50th has come and gone.
Next year is Soft Parade 50th,PBS 50th and Aquarius 50th. That’s the 50th release and both Rsd releases. Sorry but that’s all folks. Just my prediction.

We are never getting those 2 unreleased instrumental jams, there’s no Jim. Zero marketing value. Never gonna happen. The only people who want them are us hardcore fans.

13 was released in 1970. Alive, she cried was released in 1983.
Bring on Aquarius 2nd show!!! Now that would be a fantastic release on vinyl .

Jim is audible on the "instrumental" Ford Training Doors audio on the Re Evolution blu-ray. There's believed to be some similarity with those jams and Ford stuff.

As far as marketing, it hasn't stopped Jampol selling Ray vocals as bonus tracks or stuff like "Hyper Yacthing" on the BMAs. It's can't be worse than the "Band Favorites" disc in 1997. These are the last 2 unreleased Doors "songs"(how they were described by someone who's actually heard them). In 2006 they made a big deal about extending the instrumental bits on the 6 core albums.

quote me on that a re-release on black friday. i told you last year about An American Prayer.

btw Weird scenes was released on 72 and got a rerelease on 2014, Absolutely Live was released on 70 and got a rerelease last year. Alive She Cried will be the best shot,

imagine the sticker: "out of print since 1983!"

So will the overdubs be redone with new overdubs?

No, that would be silly. They will keep the old overdubs, and replace the rest of the performance.

my point is that it doesn't necessarily preclude the Jim-less songs being released, but they should be released in the context of the whole concert. Is it so bloody hard to release Matrix as one box set?
