Boring rehash of frequently re-released albums. It's not even an attractive-looking box set in terms of artwork. Just release a deluxe version of Hell Freezes Over already.
I'm a fan, added it to my cart. I'm tired of trying to find a clean original When Hell Freezes Over so what the heck.
Contents of singles & b-sides disc: 1. “Take It Easy” (Single Version) 2. “Get You In The Mood” (Non-LP B Side) 3. “Outlaw Man” (Single Version) 4. “Best Of My Love” (Single Version) 5. “One Of These Nights” (Single Edit) 6. “Lyin’ Eyes” (Single Edit) 7. “Take It To The Limit” (Single Edit) 8. “Please Come Home For Christmas” 9. “Funky New Year” 10. “Hole In The World”
Nothing here deserving of my hard earned money. Got 90% of it already which is a shame as there are lots of live recordings on the grey market which could be released from the original sources.
Thanks, got all the Night Fever ones. I was thinking there might be a comprehensive LP reissue project I might have missed. Sony/Legacy did do this on CD a few years back. /hijack
Have pretty much all of this on record and CD so won't be pursuing although I would like to hear the Millennium Concert.
It would be amazing if this has an audiophile mastering. I'd buy it in a second. Also, it seems there is a DVD of "Hell Freezes Over" and a blu-ray of the "Millenium Concert" included in the CD box. Pretty cool.
Hell Freezes Over Deluxe or Bust. That's the only thing that will get me to fork over money to the Eagles.
Supposedly the Hell Freezes Over LP is remastered in 2018. I’ll settle for any mastering of it on vinyl. I’d rather not re-buy half of their other albums, though. Think they’ll eventually release Hell Freezes Over on vinyl as a solo release?
I remember Hell Freezes over DVD was my first DTS-encoded 5.1 concert DVD, and it sounded great, probably for several years was my "sound and projector show-off". It was recorded very, very good. Interested what did they "remastered".
"Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!" - Irving Azoff overheard on his way to the bank. Got enough Eagles for a lifetime. And then some...will be passing on this one.
While this set is probably great for Eagles super fans, I just want a deluxe set for The Long Run and Hell Freezes Over. I'm kinda hoping for a 40th anniversary edition of The Long Run next year but I'm not holding my breath lol. Book looks cool though.
Just look at the presentation. They've made everything so generic. I guess you get the cover art in the book? Don't know, this looks very cheap and cheerful. Just a horrible way to celebrate their legacy. I have no idea what they're thinking making it look like this...........
This set is just useless in my eyes and the price point for the LP set is just ridiculous! They act like their music is better than everyone else's. They charge high rates on everything even their concerts. They wont even listen to their fan base and will most likely never release Hell Freezes Over in Deluxe form let alone it not be brickwalled to death. Oh well.... I'll just give Huey Lewis and the News my money for their next album or deluxe edition. At least they aren't highway robbers!
