That's a decent review but large swathes of it are plagiarized from my web site (not all the content is mine, though):

    The Annotated Fall

I don't have the time to show all the instances now, if anyone is curious I could but it's a little annoying.

I emailed the editor. It doesn't sit right, I will admit. It wasn't just a phrase or two. Not a bad review, though.

Sorry, I mean the plagiarism is annoying, I'd be happy to show it if anyone wants more information.

The funny thing is when I read it the other day I didn't even notice, until one of the contributors to the site pointed it out to me...

As far as I am aware the entire ballet was never filmed, however I believe a small part was and broadcast by the BBC in a documentary about Michael Clark, but it is only a couple of minutes, not even a complete song.

Yeah, that would probably be the clip on Youtube of the end of "Cab it Up". But that was a professional multi-camera shoot, can't believe they'd bother for just the couple of minutes seen there. There is the voice of a presenter coming in at the end which has always made me think it was part of a live broadcast, I have always assumed from the Edinburgh festival.

For more Michael Clark-The Fall goodness, check out the film-length portrait of Clark directed by Charles Atlas: 'Hail The New Puritan'. Hard to find in its entirety online, Ubuweb had it, but the link is broken. But some clips here:

Will it be the MES “mastered from a dodgy cassette”mix or the Leckie mastertape mix, I wonder? Probably the former.

It looks like there may be a bunch of alternate mixes on the second CD, namely tracks 13-17.

Yeah - possible, only 5 alternate mixes would be disappointing given the quality of the other Omnibus boxes.

I'm pleased with the news but I was thinking they may have gone for a bigger package with the complete alternative versions and maybe a live show.

I guess if they have the latter they'll make a big deal about it, and maybe put it out on its own vinyl too? So I guess it's wait and see when Beggars announce it.

I must say, they are shipping from the US to customers here and those prices are most reasonable. I have a perfectly good copy of the LP (which has always been one of my favorites) and may well go for the CD set just to get the extra songs.

Strange that the CD costs the same as the LP. I definitely want the CD for the extra tracks, I'm in two minds about the LP but probably won't be able to resist getting it.

I’m waiting to see if the CD price reduces anywhere; I think the cheapest I’ve seen so far was Rough Trade at £17.99 plus postage.

I've also been a bit surprised at how expensive the 2CD is... £11.99/£12.99 would have been the expected price, not £20...

I think I bought the superb Omnibus editions for about £17.99 on day one...
