    At his last show pig didn't sing one song. One of the great things about the spring shows is he averaged several songs per show.

    In ridiculous news, I'm still listening to the "Let it Grow" jam in Dark Star from 4/17/72. It absolutely encapsulates every little nuance of why this band mattered. I need a life. I know that it's a bit disingenuous to call it a Let it Grow jam, as Let it Grow didn't exist at the time, but it's so obviously where the intro came from that it's not even funny.

    That'll be tomorrow for me. Today was Dave's 30, 1-2-70 at the Fillmore East. Kind of a tweener show as they were in the process of moving from blues/psych to their Americana period. No epic jams, although That's It For The Other One is pretty epic in its own right. Man, I love the early scorching versions of Dancing In The Street.
