My wife will tell you that I'm extremely Type A but also very lazy. It's an odd mix, but I do make her laugh at least three times a day and a happy wife = a happy life. Trust me on that.
You haven’t seen it!? It’s crazy and has one of the best Davestractions ever when a sea lion jumps out of the water right next to him. I kid. I haven’t watched it either.
I somehow happened upon the 4/7/72 China--> Rider transition and it's absolutely sick then beautiful. Isn't this what this band was all about?
Dave films these just down the road from me, someday I'm going to photobomb one dressed as a giant oyster catcher. I do enjoy watching Dave's videos, his enthusiasm for this band is unbridled, and it has driven me to purchases I may not have made in the past without his hype. The videos usually have some interesting tidbits about the tapes past, the work done on it, some of the highlights from it and some of the hurdles to making it become a reality. I make a point of giving these videos and the listening parties a run through everytime, I think its a great way to promote the product.
You need to find a great blue heron costume wearing a T-Shirt proclaiming HYPERBOLE!!! and fly it in his general direction.
I’m leaving work in a little over an hour and will listen to Dark Star onwards from DP26/27 April ‘69 on the way home. I am genuinely excited about it. What a nice sensation.
October 9, 1989. Somewhere in Virginia. Attics of My Life. My. God. Thank you Robert Hunter. In the attics of my life Full of cloudy dreams; unreal Full of tastes no tongue can know And lights no eye can see When there was no ear to hear You sang to me I have spent my life Seeking all that's still unsung Bent my ear to hear the tune And closed my eyes to see When there were no strings to play You played to me In the book of love's own dreams Where all the print is blood Where all the pages are my days And all my lights grow old When I had no wings to fly You flew to me You flew to me In the secret space of dreams Where I dreaming lay amazed When the secrets all are told And the petals all unfold When there was no dream of mine You dreamed of me

Hmmm... Fascinating... I can't quite specify exactly what it is, but for some Cosmically Unknown reason I'm liking it!!??? HUH...?! Wait a second... did I just smoke something? I don't remember doing so. I'm starting to get the eerie feeling that you are some kind of Psychic Magician or something. Damn strange... Maybe I'm just in an uncharacteristically mellow mood tonight. Anyway, I'm just talking very IMMEDIATE reactions here... Firstly, the sound quality is quite good. I kind of hate to admit this, but even from the first song Don't Ease Me In, a song I normally completely skip, right from the first note there is just something in the clarity, the energy of the strumming, something that doesn't sound too bad! And, I do like the harmonica in it (normally, I am EXTREMELY fussy about what type of harmonica I like - most times it usually strikes me as very saccharine and corny, but this has a nicely done Blues feel to it) Next... Oddly, although I DO usually like the song I Know You Rider, in this instance they are playing it very slowly which gives it a particularly moody feel that I really like! Even Black Peter, which I never like, has kind of a nice feel to it. These are acoustic, right? Not bad... This Cumberland Blues is WAY better! Excellent lead and I rather like the Jimmy Page-like rhythmic folk strumming too! Deep Elem Blues is better too. It's like their 'heart' is more in it or something... Nice 28 minute That's it for the Other One too. I normally do NOT like the older version of Dancing in the Street at all, but surprisingly this 16 minute one has a very good Jam in it! Excellent suggestion Bro!
Oh, and I do indeed have several hundred CDs, I just don't buy then any more unless I'm looking for a very specific album that is only available that way (the last ones I remember buying I think was about 4 years ago. They were WITCHCRAFT: We Rest and a few Gothic LOVE LIKE BLOOD albums)
