I think that's about 4:40? The only way I could figure it out is the whole thing is on youtube it looks like.
The terrapin encore from this show was used on the king biscuit flower hour broadcast with the tempe show from October.
I’m no good with dates either so I would use this resource answer your question: Grateful Dead Family Discography: Grateful Dead releases by recording year
Today I listened to 9/28/72 (Stanley Theatre). An amazing show, one of the best of late '72. The highlights here are several: He's Gone, The Other One, Wharf Rat, Bertha and Bobby McGee. The jamming during TOO is truly a pinnacle in and of itself, as Phil's bass paints the music with detail and care. Great NFA > GDTRFB > NFA closer as well. Was a while since I last gave this show a spin so I'm glad that I revisited it. Earlier in the day I listened to 12/29/68 (Gulfstream Park Race Track). This is one hell of a primal experience. Jerry's guitar tone during this era ('68 - '69) are a personal fave of mine, such fierceness on display. The opening Lovelight is incredible and the Dark Star that follows are excellent. One of the best versions of St. Stephen and a prime The Eleven to boot. I love how they just kept on going at such a breakneck speed, the music never stopped.
Its going to be another rough year for fans of NY teams ending in -ets. In other news, the sun rises in the east.
Great compilation. I still remember when it was released; this along with the So Many Roads set made from some great listening circa 1999/2000.
Its like a sister to the GD Movie Soundtrack set. Both awesome runs pretty perfectly summed up in terrific comps
Revisiting Playing > The Wheel > Playing from 2/26/77 San Bernardino since that’s been coming up lately. Beautiful. Help > Slip > Frank to follow.
Beginning my romp through Dave's Picks in order, and I think this one is underrated. The jam of The Other One > Wharf Rat > The Other One > The Wheel > Around and Around is as good as anything else from 1977 IMO. My name is August West, and I love my Pearly Baker best more than my wine
I really enjoyed the Slipknot from 9/6/83 Red Rocks, see what you think... Saw a couple you mentioned (5/22/77 and 4/9/83) and thought I would take a chance and hope you find it worthy...
