I lump the Shoreline shows into “average great”….and there are lots of ‘91 shows I feel that way about. It’s one of my less duddier years, in the last decade. Brighter moments shine.
Your 91 list had better shows than mine. I wasn’t as lucky. Many compare 1990 against 1991, and I think 1990 is much better (on what I saw, and in general).
The Egypt shows are pretty rough. Jerry forgets the lyrics to Terrapin a few times on 9/15... They also kept screwing up the tempo and the timing is terrible. Might be one of the worst versions I've ever heard.
The version from 15 May 1980- Nassau is such a dirge they left it off of Go To Nassau. Give that one a listen and get back to me.
I believe that Terrapin the one that was used on the King Biscuit Flower Hour in 1980. I was under the impression that the broadcast used the same shows from Go To Nassau.
I’d be in for a 95 box, there were a few great performances. Fall 94 also. We tend to focus on the negative for these years, cuz it’s an easy target and there was a bunch to choose from but in between was some decent stuff.
A "highlights" box -- or double-disc set? -- might be worthwhile, but I don't think there are many complete shows that are release-worthy.
