Those were Prestige twofers from the 1970s. I had quite a lot of them in my LP days; I replaced most of them with Japanese replica LPs in the SMJ series, which had excellent sound and perfect pressings. Member @Soulpope often posts images of SMJ-series LPs here.
At Night At Birdland Vol. 1 - Art Blakey Quintet (Blue Note) CD Alto Saxophone – Lou Donaldson Bass – Curly Russell Drums – Art Blakey Piano – Horace Silver Trumpet – Clifford Brown 24 bit CD remastered in 2001 by RVG. Recorded 1954. What an essential and historic live recording. I was certain I was going to play this one today after watching last night's screening of the highly enjoyable and very interesting film Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes If you get the chance to see this intriguing film I recommend you don't miss it. There is plenty of great footage, interviews and images, plus the added attraction of hearing some Blue Note classics blasting out of the cinema sound system. If I had the opportunity I would go and watch it all over again!

John Zorn - Naked City (1989). With Bill Frisell, Wayne Horvitz, Fred Frith and Joey Barron. Eclectic, ecstatic, occasionally off-the-wall collection of frenetic originals and quirky covers of movie scores. Entertaining as hell.

A nice bargain made my day today € 14.25 for a 10 CD box. Have some material on vinyls but for the rest its really something.
This was released by a European public-domain label which doesn't have access to original sources like mastertapes. The recordings are owned by Universal (Blue Note), Sony (Columbia), Warner (Atlantic) and Concord (Prestige).
Correct (See also the "Proper Boxes" from the UK) all recycled from mint LP's. Most important: the playback quality is fine and this time it is. So where is the problem. The box is NOT illegal IMO.
