Kenny Burrell ‎– Kenny Burrell Vol.2
    Label: Blue Note ‎– UCCQ-9521
Series: Blue Note 80 More 60 Works
Format: CD, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Mono, Paper Sleeve
    Country: Japan
    Released: 17 Jul 2019
Recorded over several sessions in March and May 1956. The Gershwin track But Not For Me is solo Burrell. Lovely album that I enjoyed all the way through. I think I like this one better than Introducing actually.

KD's last album (as a leader) - not sure if it is his best effort, but definitely among the top 3 or 4 (Afro Cuban / Inta Something' / Quiet Kenny).

Dizzy Gillespie (trumpet), Mike Longo (pianist), Al Gafa (guitar), Earl May (bassist), Mickey Roker (drums)

    Recorded August 1973

    Track list
    1. A Night In Tunisia

    4. Groovin' High
    5. The Blues
    6. Brother K

CD issued in gate-fold digipak with 12 page booklet.

"Such were the tight interconnections in the New York Jazz Brotherhood that led to the creation of The Dizzy Gillespie Quintet we hear on these recordings" - (from the booklet)

An excellent live recording and very engaging music throughout the 72 odd minutes playing time. This is one of four volumes.

Unfortunately I think all 4 volumes may now be deleted.
