Those Japan 75th SHM-CD's sound fantastic! This is one of my favorite Andrew Hill albums, and the bonus tracks on this edition are exceptional.
I love this album. And Time and Time Again. And Lost in a Dream (which I'm currently playing). Wish any of them would be released on vinyl.
THE BRASS ORCHESTRA - J. J. JOHNSON (Verve) CD Compositions by J. J. Johnson / Miles Davis / Robin Eubanks / Jimmy Heath / Slide Hampton & Dimitri Tiomkin Arrangements by J. J. Johnson / Robin Eubanks / Robert Farnon & Slide Hampton Recorded 1996. CD mastered by Allan Tucker and issued by Polygram in 1997. J.J. Johnson, The Brass Orchestra - The Brass Orchestra An very rewarding album that I find myself returning to again and again.
Marlowe Morris - Play The Thing via Mosaic Records Columbia Small Group Swing Sessions 1953 - 62 Disc 5 trks 1 to 11, sessions (J), (K) & (L) Marlowe Morris, organ; Buddy Tate, tenor sax; Buck Clayton, trumpet; Edmond Hall, clarinet; Mathew Gee, trombone; Jo Jones, drums/ Gus Johnson, drums; Ray Barretto, bongos
I found that there is no recording of Ceil Taylor out there until Nailed, which was recorded in 1990, in which CT played with sax, bass and drums (as quartet) throughout the whole album. This is the first and maybe the last.

Over this past weekend I listened to the first two discs of the Coltrane Complete VV set and Disc 4 of Miles' Complete Jack Johnson. All phenomenal. That disc in the JJ set became my favorite of the whole set so far. Unbelievably funky.
Yes, as previously mentioned here. I have 3 more volumes from the series to listen to… hold on tight!
Joe Henderson, Herbie Hancock, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Lawrence, Ron Carter – Power to the People (1969)
(LP CTI Records German Press Gatefold CTI-6014) 1976 .... recorded November 1971 @ Van Gelder Studios .... Joe Farrell (ts, ss, fl) + Chick Corea (e-p) + Buster Williams (b) + Jack DeJohnette (dr) + Airto (perc) .... although not being a die hard both Joe Farrell and Chick Corea follower at all this platter very much nails it and obviously Buster Williams (his best performance in the 70`s ?) + Elvin Jones are co-responsible for making this session an unreserved success ..... the dead silent German vinyl press offers beautiful sound ....
(LP Blue Note King Records Japan GXK-8076) 1978 .... recorded August 3rd, 1964 @ Van Gelder Studio Englewood Cliffs .... Wayne Shorter (ts) + McCoy Tyner (p) + Reggie Workman (b) + Elvin Jones (dr) .... another evergreen in our house aka my favorite Wayne Shorter leader date for Blue Note feat. some stunning performances by bass master Reggie Workman .... as good as it gets ....
I recently got wise to how good Chico Hamilton Impulse albums are. I'm now in the mood to revisit a couple of these gems again. el chico - chico hamilton (Impulse!) CD (1965) followed by THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF EL CHICO - CHICO HAMILTON (Impulse!) CD (1966) Impossible for me to ignore any albums that feature both Chico Hamilton & Gabor Szabo! Both discs above were issued back to back in 2011 on an Impulse! 2-on-1/twofer CD
