  1. Really Bill Evans in that sourrounding looks astonishing. How is the sound? Gerorge Russels big band arrangements can sound kinda weird and farout sometimes?

SQ is pretty good, a very unusual album for Evans heading into fusion territory, good album.

Kenny Dorham ‎– Una Mas (One More Time)
    Label: Blue Note ‎– 7243 5 21228 2 0
    Series: RVG Edition
    Format: CD, Album, Remastered, Reissue
    Country: US
    Released: 29 Mar 1999
Recorded April 1, 1963. One of the rare cases in which a bonus track doesn't really hold up to the main album. Dorham's compositions through track 3 are phenomenal and the playing is top notch. Excellent album!

Label: Black Saint ‎– BSR 0087 CD
    Format: CD, Album
    Country: Italy
    Released: 1985
Recorded March 6 & 7, 1985. Frenetic, with some great bass playing from Oliver. Paul Murphy is a new one on drums to me as well. He's all over the place here.

Great music, but I don't like extreme right/left separation and the prominent drums in the mix - though it doesn't really sound as a "mix" :)

    Label: Black Saint ‎– 120140-2
    Format: CD, Album
    Country: Italy
    Released: 1994
Recorded November 18 & 19, 1993. All reeds, kind of like WSQ Part 2. Lots of soul and swing in the first handful of tracks but excellent playing all around. Great album.
